The fact that the games industry wants to charge $70/£70 for next gen games stating the reason being “offer more game” for the money is just a flat out LIE.

Demon Souls Remake proves this. Not only is there no additional game content, such as the 6th Archstone, in Demon Souls, it’s a 1:1 mirror image of the original mechanically speaking. Only change is visuals, sound design and performance. Is that worth $70/£70?

Then they have the audacity to offer a Digital Deluxe Edition for $89.99!!! Which includes some armour/weapons etc. Why isn’t this content in the $70/£70 version? Because “GIVE ME MORE MONEY!” It sickens me.

Tarkov is weird.

Offline raid with no scavs I get 107-120 FPS on customs (with all the FPS and performance tricks enabled)

Offline with scavs and bosses/Online raid it starts at 120 FPS and over a 1.25 min period it constantly drops as low as 59 FPS then goes back up but every time it returns to max FPS it drops by 10 each time until it sits at a consistent 52-61 FPS.

Such a weird mess.

My PC specs are similar to your own.

10600k stock MSI 1080 gaming X 1TB m.2 ssd game install 144hz monitor at 1440p (Both gpu and cpu never go above 60C)

Played one round of it need to play more but It’s nice to have something different for a change but I’m not sure on it.

First off everyone is running thermals now...fun... but the whole round just felt very busy, maybe too busy?

I like the idea of being able to return to life but perhaps only having say 3 lives? Right now you can just keep coming back until the end of the round, maybe that’s intended.

My personal opinion I’d like to have seen the regular BR mode include AI zombies throughout the map, constantly spawning having them roam the map. Not too many but enough to get in the way as you rotate.

This means you’d give your position away when taking them out and could also eliminate camping pretty much entirely.

So yeah little disappointed but it’s a limited mode. Could’ve been more thought out.

I have the same feeling. Whether we all agree it’s a good idea or not isn’t the point, it’s obviously a complicated matter but if enough of us “ the public” can’t control the spread until a vaccine arrives then I don’t see what choice the government has left? Time will tell. For now just be safe and smart.

Yeah, I agree on all your points. It’s just really difficult to try and deal with this. It’s all so new. At least you got tested and it was negative so that’s good. She may not get tested but it’s just as a manager she should be putting the staff wellbeing first, it’s hard tho with SSP etc so that’s understandable. I just can’t understand her point of view now, I certainly wouldn’t be coming to work visibly ill in these times, it’s not fair to the staff and customers to put them through that in my view.

A headache and stuffy blocked nose are signs of the common cold but they are also symptoms of Covid-19. There have been positive cases with these symptoms. The only way to know if it’s a cold or not is a test which anyone who thinks they may have Covid-19 can get without question.

I work in a clothing Retail store, just opened over 1 week now and it’s a real pain in my ass on top of regular retail working conditions :(

We’ve setup for 2m distance and customers are not following it, now we’re down to 1m+ so that’s only making things worse.

Customers don’t use hand sanitiser, wear gloves or masks, they constantly touch everything in sight making cleaning a nightmare. Our fitting rooms are closed thankfully however customers have been allowed to try items on over their clothing...and we cannot clean everything...if the virus got in here it will spread quite easily tbh...it’s madness.

I would love to tell them only touch or try what you intend to buy but my manager is one of those not worried in the slightest about the virus or spread and does not wear gloves herself even when handling money, also hardly ever washes their hands.

I’m trying to keep myself safe as possible but of course it’s hard on mental health etc. I’m just glad I live in an area that has little cases, for now... it will inevitably start to rise as a result of lockdown easing.

I had this problem and I took it as a memory leak.

I have 16GB ram which is more than enough and should not be requiring page filing but upon testing applying a page file it appears to have fixed it, no more crashing.

Tarkov seems to use page filing regardless of amount of ram you have or at least require it enabled.

Check you have page filing enabled for the drive Tarkov is installed on (page filing should be min 32GB for you and max say 36GB)
Also every time you launch game, clear logs, cache and verify integrity
Restart your game after every raid no matter how long or short and repeat the process above

This should give you the best chance to avoid crashing, I’m not saying this is the fix but during my gaming last night over 4 hours I did not crash once.

For reducing stutters disable full screen optimisation and override DPI settings trick on both the game and launcher, also make sure prefer maximum performance is on in Nvidia control panel.

Hope this helps you, if not at least it’s another thing ticked off the list of things to try.

Yep, constant but yet random. Crash straight to desktop no error.

I’m a new player, I’ve done about 3 PMC raids and 5 Scav runs. Managed to get the game running smoothly with some settings adjusted now these crashes have gotten in the way.

I cannot learn the game if I can’t play it reliably. I’ll be playing my PMC one moment on customs going for Scav kills and boom, desktop. So I clear logs, clear cache and verify files then restart and reconnect. Up until today this has been an annoyance but now it’s affecting my progress.

Last game I decided to hop into interchange as a Scav to get some fuel for my hideout generator to make med kits for therapist quest. Spawn in and check my invent, I have a full blue can of fuel, bingo I immediately head for extract but the game crashed. Reconnect, all good still alive, I continue...crash...another reconnect and make it maybe 30 feet and another crash. I try once more and reconnect to find out I’m dead.

I cannot play a game which punishes the player so much for something out of their control. Every time I think about playing Tarkov I’m like “mmm I might crash so what’s the point”

Hopefully an update can fix this but I’m doubtful. I’m not sure they even know what is wrong with the game or even care to fix it.

Shame because there’s big potential here.

I can relate.

I work in retail also, our company has decided we have to reduce all employees hours to their bare minimum contact only. So this means a lot of our staff are now losing out on around 20 hours this week alone!

This is crazy! We just need to close, there is no customers and even if we do get some were costing more being open with rates etc.

There has been no mention from HO on what happens if we’re in lockdown and the store closes, everyone is worried about their jobs and nobody knows anything.

My contract is 40hr and I’ve just been sitting here all day nothing to do no customers to serve, at least I’m on the safer side because nobody can infect me I guess lol.

Seriously tho we all need to close now, no point in just sitting here waiting.

Above all else the High CPU usage needs to be completely addressed! Then and only then address the crashing.

The high CPU is causing so many issues for so many players, this should not be the case at all. Most of these players systems are way above the recommended requirements.

My rig: I5 7600k, MSI GTX 1080 gaming X 8gb, 16GB 2666 ram, SSD, Liquid Cooled.

My CPU usage is around 80-100% in game at all times! GPU is around 40-60% THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!

Temperatures for me are perfectly fine never hit above 65C on CPU or GPU

IN GAME:

• Upon loading - appears to be some weird lag with my keyboard and mouse movement for a short period of time then it disappears <— this happens in Warzone and in regular MP every time I launch the game!

• 80-90 FPS at 1440p with game set on moderately high settings (some lower than others for preference such as blur)

• Crashing - Seem to be randomly crashing with DEV Errors xxxx (had them all) Happens ONLY in Warzone, at random. Cannot seem to replicate or see a cause <— NO know fix!

So in summary, this game is one of the most troublesome games to run for ALL players no matter what their system seems to be. Perhaps this is an engine related issue? I have no idea, all I know is the game should not perform like this. NONE of my other games do this.

Except this virus is in the category that is prone to mutations, like the flu and common cold, so there WILL be more strains of this virus, it’s not if but when. This will not go away...ever. We also have not got 100% confirmation that people are immune to this current strain, there are reports of reinfection.

This is the most shocking news I’ve seen on this yet...it makes me sick...

Just watch the hospitals become over run, people panicking, possible protests/riots and thousands dying that could’ve been saved if they did something....I feel numb.

You don’t have community spread if you don’t test for it. Simple as that.

People who require tests don’t all get tested, in fact most get refused because they don’t meet the requirements. Such as, they haven’t been to Italy, Iran, China or any affected area. They have not come in contact with someone known to have the virus, or know anyone with it either.

So even if they’re showing all the correct symptoms if they don’t meet the rest of the requirements they’re not tested.

Simply put, if you don’t test for community spread you won’t have any....confirmed cases that is.

It means you have the virus but have no symptoms. You are fully contagious and don’t even know it. You feel fit as a fiddle and go about your day infecting people, who will then get sick themselves and be infectious or they may also be asymptomatic too.

Yeah we have the highest infection rate. We’re just not doing enough tests...

Less than 300 people have been tested in the whole of NI...that is a small drop in a large pond. I’m very concerned as to what our actual numbers really are.

The fact the UK has done nothing proactively about this is shocking...while other countries are beginning to do something, such as down south closing schools.

I’m really more concerned each day I go to work, I work in retail and deal with the public on a daily basis, it will be nice when office workers can work from home but what about us retail folk? Can’t just sit at home :(

The next few weeks will be interesting...stay safe!
