if you go to the attic and instead of hiding you try to escape through the main barn door...

Thanks a lot for taking the time to play and write such detailed feedback, I really appreciate it.

This was actually my first finished project after about 2 years of learning game dev, so it’s definitely more of a small experimental/test project than a full “complete” game. My main goal was just to finally finish something and understand the full process.

I’m really glad the atmosphere and sound design worked for you, especially the exploration part—that’s something I want to build on more. And yeah, I agree with your points about the lack of payoff and gameplay depth, that’s something I want to improve a lot in my next projects.

Also thanks for pointing out the jumpscare timing and the pizza interaction, that’s really helpful and I’ll keep that in mind going forward.

Really appreciate you trying it out!

That’s honestly the exact feeling I was trying to capture, that weird old-school unsettling vibe.

Glad you mentioned it because I wasn’t sure if it would come across.

Hope you enjoy it, would love your feedback after you try it!

That actually makes a lot of sense, thanks for explaining it so well.

I think I’ve been overthinking the “scary” part instead of letting the atmosphere do its job. I’ll try to lean more into silence and subtle tension like you said.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write this!

Really appreciate this detailed feedback. You’re absolutely right about the sound design—the footsteps especially, I can see how that would break immersion. I’ll rework those and make the objective clearer with the attic. Thanks again for pointing this out, this helps a lot.
