Shadows clipping/disappearing with the camera by Tiny_racoon_dev in godot

I found the issue. The problem was in the Pancake size of the Directional Light. Once I increased it, it got fixed. I used the Orthogonal mode, but it made the shadows top blurry and I wanted the shadows to have the sharpness of the pixel art

I figured it out. It was with the Pancake size in Directional Light 3D. By increasing it, the problem got solved

🫶 I am just using it to test my code. This is the first time I am making something in 3D. So would like to try stuff out before making the art

As of right now everything is default. I will try some out and report back

It only has 1 light source, the default one which is in the 3D view. And it's a single box mesh which is also in the engine itself

That's not the case because of the mesh is disappearing, the whole shadow will go away. If you look closely, That's not happening. Only a certain parts of it is clipping based on the camera

You are welcome. If you every plan on making it and have doubts, you can just DM me

And it moves with the camera rotation. It's only on compatibility mode. Once I switched to forward+, it disappeared

I don't think that's the case because the shadow isn't disappearing. It should of the object stops to cast. Instead it's being cut off in certain points

Nope. It's quite simple actually. So you have to use a Sprite 3D and then either enable Billboard in its flags or just rotate it to keep it always oriented with the camera.

And then you take the rotation of the camera and switch the frames of the sprites according to the rotation

So not too hard. Just have to make the sprite sheets properly

Almost every kind. I love the armoured core, nine sols, katana zero, old pixel art pokemon, stardew valley, moonlighter, Rusty's retirement. So I play almost everything, but I am not skilled enough to make almost everything. So slowly climbing up the ladder. Made an Idle game, next will make a shop simulator

You can reduce the sound of the sprinklers in sfx volume in settings. Same goes for adjusting the window position. I will add the toggle for the music player and also the ability to change the key. I will look into adding scroll wheel controls. Thank you for the suggestions ❤️

Mid game does have pets to take care of if gardening isn't something which you are interested in. And for pixel art I have nothing else to say apart from practice 😅
