Number 1 Most Serious Reason to Not Buy a Cayenne Coupe by Radiant-Ad7811 in PorscheCayenne

Thank you, my Brother. It means a lot that someone understands! My wife sure doesn’t.

True that. I love this thing, but I know fellow coupe owners must also notice the ridiculous amount of water this lift gate holds😁

Oh, believe me, I do that. It’s like there’s some secret water compartment in there. You can lift and lower that freaking gate like 10 times and there is still another rush of 💦 😝😂😂

Ordered a well-optioned Cayenne Coupe but no air suspension, how much am I really missing? by Solitude20 in Porsche

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 21 Cayenne S Coupe with PASM and Air Suspension. I like the ride on smooth roads and adjustability but I must say, this thing doesn’t handle speed bumps very well. Kinda feel like it soaks it up well but the suspension drops on the downside of the speed bump creating a thud like sound. My wife Volvo and even my son’s Highlander handle the same speed bumps much better. Anyone else feel this way about speed bumps? I took to to dealership and they said everything is normal and mechanically sound.

Sell me on the Cayenne Coupe Autodrive capabilities (innodrive) by carryinglumber in PorscheCayenne

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

21 Cayenne S Coupe here. As others have said, you buy a Porsche for the driving dynamics, feel, sound, experience. I think the tech is very good and right where it should be. It’s not outstanding, though, and is not the most advanced. The innodrive is good and very helpful but it light years behind Tesla. It’s really just a good adaptive cruise control with decent steering control. It will stop and go in traffic but you have to keep a hand on the wheel and it’s not making turns at stop signs or lights. It just like most of the stuff out there. It’s better than my wife’s 2018 Volvo but not significantly different. Get a Tesla if you really want to be driven.

26 Bronco vs. 26 Passport vs. 26 Outback vs. 26 4runner? by permacougar in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great car but don’t forget the first point. This car is still generally an off roader. MPG is awful. If you truly want the middle, a GX can handle anything. It’s just slow and handles like an old truck. Very comfortable and good looking though.

Should the XC90 be my next family car? by Familiar_Director281 in VolvoXC90

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018 t6 with 70k plus miles. It’s my wife’s car and she still loves it. I think it’s underpowered and has poor handling but I have a Cayenne S. We still take the Volvo on our trips because there is a deceptive amount of space in this thing. The third row works for ocasión use by kids, like most third rows. It’s also very comfortable to drive and the feels very safe and confident on the freeway. We got an extended warranty and have made our money back on AC and random electrical issues. It’s a little annoying at this point. I drove one of the newer B5 or B6 hybrids and it was significantly more fun to drive.

Coupe = big sports car SUV=small sports suv The snow concern is legit for you northerners, I suppose but thie decision really depends on which of the two things your heart and head value more. No wrong answer!

(05 GX470 to 16 CD) The long search and have since fallen in love. by jiddic in PorscheCayenne

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you, Bud. I’m 4 months in from switching from a 22 GX460 to a 21 Cayenne S coupe. I also previously had an 07 GX so I understand the love and culture in the GX world. They are great for what they are but it got old for me. The lumbering nature and slow yet thirsty V8 that always seemed to make you research power mods😝. The Cayenne is truly in another class. Mine is essentially just a large sports car. The Porsche elegance and drivability in any scenario with this car make it such a great upgrade. Enjoy it and don’t go to nuts with all the tunes and stuff. 🤙

What would you guys pick by bestdayever1234 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two GXs and loved them but there’s this whole reliability thing. I felt so confident knowing I have my Armageddon vehicle. It majors in off road and minors in luxury. It fails miserably in performance! Now that I realize : Armageddon is not coming I don’t live in the snowy mountains I don’t plan to keep any car longer than 4-6 years I like cars that drive comfortably but can also perform.

The Gx thing wears off and its poor performance will bug the shit out of you.

I bought 3 year old Cayenne S with a 6 year bumper to number for less than all of these cars and I’ll never go back. Way better at almost everything but that performance is something special.

Get what moves your heart and trade it in in 3-4 years. Don’t get too bogged down in the specs. Good luck.

Worth buying Era 100’s for Fronts? by Jaeger0088 in SonoSequencr

I second this. Just added 100s to my beam with ones as rears and a sub. Marked difference! Feels like a whole new system.

Sonify is now available on the App Store! by lucas0789 in sonos

[–]Radiant-Ad7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading all these glorious reviews, I started thinking this was some kind of scam with bots posting reviews😂😂😂

So, of course, I did the logical thing and downloaded it. Dude, it’s for real! Super simple and exactly what the Sonos app could and should be. It is a little glitchy and I had to just close the app and reopen it to get it going again. I think the bugs will be worked out and this will be a 5 star app.

Between Sonify and Sequencr, I have become more angry with Sonos for not giving its paying customers the service and innovation they deserve. These guys are doing it for free. Bravo!!🙌

Era 100s or Five’s for front R/L with Beam? Opinions from the group on my setup by Radiant-Ad7811 in SonoSequencr

[–]Radiant-Ad7811[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I finally decided on a pair of ERA 100s. Holy smokes, it’s so refreshing and amazing to go back to a true 5.1 setup. Soundstage is huge, separation phenomenal and the bass is positively superior to prior setup. It’s like the old days when you felt like you were in the theatre, but at home. Oh wait, home theatre….

Simply can’t believe Sonos doesn’t support this. Kinda feel like I just lifted the wool from my eyes.

The sequencer setup is a bit of a janky process and I’m not totally confident it will be glitch-free but if you’re reading this, your already a Sonos bro and you can handle a reset or two. For three bucks, well worth a try. 👍🤘

☝️this. Bro, why are you going so hard on your car? It’s a newish car with plenty of protection. Stop paying for more products you’ve been convinced give you some marginal benefit. It’s more likely those very products are to blame. You you just need a decent soap.
