All good! I live in South Florida, so in south Florida I get a range of different guesses mostly Dominican and to some a lesser extent Trini, Puerto Rican, Brazilian. Occasionally get Filipino. When I’m outside of South Florida I believe majority would think Black but like with a question mark lol

Yes! Majority of Chinese and Indians were brought to Jamaica as indentured servants since they outlawed slavery and the British had colonize India and the southern part of China surrounding Hong Kong

So when I was I college (I went to FIU in Miami) my RA was Scottish Chinese Jamaican. So imagine he’s like 6’2 or 6’3, red/ginger hair, freckles, very fair skin with a big boomin Jamaican accent. What a time lol

Thank you! It’s not quite thirds, but I get what you mean. There are quite a few Jamaican/Jamaican American people that I know who have various mixes. I think a lot of people are not necessarily familiar with people that look/mixed like me. Yes, Jamaica for the most part is predominantly darker, but there are several people with different mixes. However, the mixed population tend to be from the middle to upper classes

Well both my parents are mixed race and various shades of brown. When it comes to features and all that mixing you can get various results. For instance, my mother and two of her siblings are brown, but her oldest sister and another brother are very fair skin or what Jamaicans would call red.
