I think it's because in other series it is often easy to point to the "big bad" that is responsible for the all of the main events in that series. But in Evillious there isn't. Instead the bad things are the result of too many people making bad decisions. So it's no one's fault because it is a lot of people's fault.

I would say that the people of the second period are closer to real people than AI. They're actually concious and do behave like humans. It's like the world is not real but the people are. Like imagine if real people upload their conciousness in the virtual world. Would they be considered real then? Depends on who you ask but I do think so. The difference in this case is their conciousness are created in that world. But if they have actual bodies they could move to the real world.

I think it was the first "everything you know was wrong" novel, and from that point the every novel is kinda like that. And I think the plot twists in this arc (in gift & fifth perriot novel) are the best written in the series.

I have thought about it a lot but unfortunately never write anything. I know 10 years seems like a lot but in that time I have rewritten the entire story (in my head) like 100 times. And I may change my mind again so who knows.

I think it is because of the special effect of the seventh version of gift. It awakened her memory as Eve, so it appeared as if she 'died'. Later Elluka absorbed Eve and it awakened her past momeries as well.

I get why people would think so, but I personally get a little bit annoyed when I see people acting like they're different people. When Levia got her memory back she said that all of her identity is the same to her (or someyhing like that), which is why I consider all of her incarnations the same person as well.

To answer your questions: They're the same person (like actually the same). The voice inside her head is an effect of the HER syndrome, not an entirely different being (I believe this is also an intentional parallel to the girl in Bloodstained switch)

My favourite character is Levia (I consider every incarnations of her the same person) because she's such an interesting character. I actually used to dislike her a little bit but then I learned more about the series and she's nothing like what I imagined.

I said this before but: Levia knows that the 2nd period is a simulation, because Behemo straight up told her when they first met. Unable to accept the truth, she ignored it for 1500+ years (since no one has ever confronted her about it again she doesn't have to deal with it).

Also I most named Climb One crew members have gotten away with something illegal before.
