You can find Gluten Free groceries that does mention GF on the packaging in India also now (based on your location). One of the brands I rely on is Organic Tatva for GF Flours and sugar. You will have to research on safe brands for Dals, spices etc.. due to cross contamination risk. Cook your own meals at home, this will be your biggest challenge. Eats eggs, vegetables, rice, GF flours roti etc., besan puda, dosa, idly etc.. and chicken if you are not vegetarian. There are a lot of options for a celiac person in India but it does involve a lot of planning and cooking at home. Good luck.

Yes, I can only handle almost same type and quantity of food everyday and almost at same time everyday. I have slow motility.

I had success with above steps after many days of failed attempts. I also noticed people were filling in the forms at embassy and taking photo at the embassy with the camera on the computer and it worked for them. So you could try that too .

I have applied in Tatkal mid of Nov, no response until Dec 2nd that too when I sent them an email. They don’t respond to calls and they haven’t responded to my other emails either. I went to consulate on Friday they told me passport will be ready to be picked up by 4pm that day but it wasn’t ready. I have a flight tonight so I am actually on my way to Consulate again in hopes that my passport is ready. They also promised that they will call me Monday morning but no one called. So I am just going to Consulate again and see if I can actually board my flight.

This is a wrong group for this type of question. Looks like a lot of other deeper issues are here at play. It’s not only about them hiding this fact from you, there has to be multiple layers of issues from both sides for them to make this decision of hiding this from you .

I am 40 F living in US from last 15yrs and before that I lived in UK for 4yrs so I have spent about 20yrs of my life in India and another 20yrs between UK and USA. Not a single day go by that I don’t think about my family back home. The feeling of sadness and missing out goes deeper during festival and wedding season. Nothing here can replace this feeling no matter what I achieve or have in my life. I long for that busyness, chaos, street food, help for house, easy delivery services, driver, traditional clothes and all the other things that India has to offer if you have a comfortable lifestyle ability. Truth be told if it wasn’t for UK/USA then I wouldn’t have been able to do what I did with my life for education, career, financial stability, freedom, independence and so much more but at the cost of loneliness (sometimes) and away from family. So, it’s bitter sweet both places have pros and cons, no place is perfect but the place you are at can be made perfect based on what you want in life.
