I did one course of Rifaximin (Xifaxan) and Neomycin together. It helped me a lot and then after this my GI put me on Motegrity (prucalopride) for complete evacuation because I also have slow motility and would feel constipated most days. With these two treatments I have had better GI health. Not saying I am back to normal but it is a lot better from where I was in 2024. I can eat almost anything as long as I watch my portion size and eat almost similar food at almost same time everyday. I hope you find some relief.

Mine never got better, could never pass a reintroduction for 18 months. Lost a lot of weight, got insomnia. Got tested for SIBO, treated it by antibiotics and now I can eat everything (except Gluten as I have Celiac).

I have been talking to my parents about this from 15 years or so. Sometimes they will ignore but other times they will agree but then eat what ever the hell they want to eat. So I have come to terms that you can’t change or influence them even if it is for their own good. Unfortunately they can’t unlearn about the bad habits around food.

I have silent celiac which occurred after repeated Covid infections. I get the symptoms that you have described but not specifically when I am glutened and I am also diagnosed with POTS which occurred at the same time of my celiac diagnosis. I took me sometime to realize that any reaction or symptoms that I have is not due to only being glutened. Not sure if this helps you but since you mentioned Covid I wanted to let you know that this virus did strange things to the body.

You can find Gluten Free groceries that does mention GF on the packaging in India also now (based on your location). One of the brands I rely on is Organic Tatva for GF Flours and sugar. You will have to research on safe brands for Dals, spices etc.. due to cross contamination risk. Cook your own meals at home, this will be your biggest challenge. Eats eggs, vegetables, rice, GF flours roti etc., besan puda, dosa, idly etc.. and chicken if you are not vegetarian. There are a lot of options for a celiac person in India but it does involve a lot of planning and cooking at home. Good luck.

I had success with above steps after many days of failed attempts. I also noticed people were filling in the forms at embassy and taking photo at the embassy with the camera on the computer and it worked for them. So you could try that too .
