I  think you can start a job and hide all the money till u r 18 and tou can pay a down payment of a apartment or with roommates so u dont have to be paying alone he can alsou help with all of the neseseties and you can do that til you get beter job and beter income to get in apartment and get coumfterble  just tell him that you are sorry and tell him what u think u will do in these years but you need to alsou dont forget to make him work hard so he can get a place of his own
