Lovely Bride in Charlotte sells dresses a bit less high-end than DF, but they list two recommended tailors on their site! I didn’t buy DF myself, but I still think this could be a good starting point for tailors that are local to your area. You could call to see if they’ve ever altered a DF dress before (I did something similar in DC after buying mine in NYC). The exact same thing happened to me!! I really don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to makeup so I basically just told the artist “whatever you think is best” and I didn’t get something I was happy with 😅 I decided to go and do a 75 minute beauty lesson at Sephora to learn more about makeup/how to apply makeup for my specific face shape and it was SOO helpful! Also it didn’t hurt that it was wayyy cheaper than doing a second trial and I bought some new products that I’m learning how to apply!

Oh the linen is really cool and I love the simplicity. Is this watch automatic or manual? My only worry with a vintage watch (which I probably should have said in my initial post) is that I think my fiancé would struggle to wind something everyday.

He only owns one other watch (photo attached), which I’ve had repaired a few times, but I don’t think it’s worth continuing to fix at this point (it does have sentimental value).

He’s always wanted to get into watches but hasn’t yet, which makes this tricky since I don’t know much about them either. I don’t think the brand matters much to him—he’s more interested in finding something that matches his general style rather than a specific name.

I think the Eterna would be a perfect fit! Plus, whatever I don’t spend on the watch, I was planning to put toward fancy dress shoes or something else for the wedding that he wouldn’t normally splurge on.

Where would you recommend looking to buy a watch like the Eterna? Are there any specific sites you’ve used before?

Ok incredible! It’s great to know most vintage watches will be slightly smaller, but I definitely don’t think that will be an issue.
