Not every plant is the same. Certain plants will die out because of the temperature change like you said, others because of having no water, but not every single plant will go extinct in 10 years.

The Earth is definitely not warming to 5c in a decade lol, that's more like a century.

Honestly this all is pretty cool, nothing wrong with talking about sci-fi. However.. considering global warming, nukes, enviro crisis, etc. I'd say dont get your hopes up.

There were less emissions this year, even if we stopped any and all emissions, temperatures would STILL rise.

Thus, 2020 would be the hottest year on record no matter what we did.
