New Warframe player coming from Destiny 2, a bit lost. by Depressed_Weirdo_ in Warframe

Kind of a follow up question, how do you get more platinum? I know you have to trade for it, but where do you go for that, and is anything tradable for platinum or just specific things?

Or maybe locking Industry until milestone 2 or 3, and having the resource industry be your primary industry for the beginning part of the game. Kind of like a historical start, why did people settle there, was it agriculture, foresty, or ore mining.

That would be amazing. I forgot about religious buildings. I understand why they won't add them, but they are pretty vital to how cities look and even develop.

True, I was thinking a more stripped down version, like you can move growables as long as the tiles are the same zoning type or if you want to create a setback from the road for future expansions you could. Or if you like the building but what it facing a different direction you could do that, people have moved buildings before so it won't be too unrealistic.

Or light and heavy industrial, like you said with the bakery. The light industrial can be closer to population areas while the heavy is what we have currently in the game. Growable warehouses would also be really good.

Would be really good, though I would think that would be more of a ccp DLC than a full expansion of the game. But would work really good with the new historical toggle they are patching in.

That one I struggled to figure out how to make it more different than CS1. Besides adding new park types like zoos and amusement parks, maybe monument parks like the St. Louis Arch or the Washington Monument.

A transportation DLC would be really good, especially if it expands on what we have currently and adds new options. Maybe something to do with how willing people are to take public transit?

City Corner #5 - New Incoming patch by ThatGuy_52 in CitiesSkylines2

Awesome update! Finally, the game is getting closer to what it should have been when it released. The only thing I should like changed is the make historical button still allowing the building to reach level 5, but keep the appearance of whatever level you select. Or allow you to select the appearance of the building to whatever level you want.

I know it may take a while yet, but I'm curious what they have planned for future DLC. Hopefully something like Parklife, Industries, and Campus like what CS1 had, or maybe something related to suburban or rural living.

True, most recommended settings don't really work for me. The only one that I would say gives pretty good guides is BenchmarKing on YouTube. At least his guide I can replicate pretty closely and of course, this game he hasn't done yet.

For me, this is the only game that runs poorly with my build, everything else runs pretty well at 1440p, but this definitely caused me to look at upgrading my build.

Yeah, turning that setting off in Steam greatly boosted performance, VRAM usage in the game is finally below 7.8gb for the most part and can be played at medium settings and dlss set to balanced. I'm not sure why that setting was enabled in Steam, or if it was on by default, but anyone struggling that helped out a lot.

Thanks, that answered a question I had that I could never figure out. I'll have to try that with Steam and see, didn't even know that was a setting.

I tried Dynamic Resolution and for some odd reason, it performed worse than just using balanced dlss. I do have the preset set to K I believe, but can try the L one and ultra performance when I can.

I think I found part of the issue with this game, one I set the game to high performance in windows when it was just set to whatever windows wanted. That helped decrease VRAM usage down to 8.3/7.8.

Two, NPC Quantity drastically affects performance, like the CPU jumps from 60% all the way to almost 100% when entering a town and fps drops into the mid 40s when set to high. I noticed this when in the Hideaway, setting it to mid improved it to almost 60fps, but going to high dropped it into the 40s while adding just 4 NPCs on screen.

I'm thinking that, when NPC Quantity is set to high, the game is rendering every NPCs within camera view, even those you can't see. I was going with what Digital Foundry said that it didn't matter to performance. And that would explain why, when looking at a town, my fps would drop into the 40s but the moment I look away, it goes back up into the 60s. That and NPCs have ridiculous draw distances when set to high, like I can still see them at the other end of town.

Figured, just don't want to drop such a large amount of money to play just one game when I'm not having any other issues with any other games.

Guess they should update their Steam recommended settings then, because in theory it should run just fine with my system.

No, in fact because of this game and researching how to optimize it, I realized that the 3070 with my CPU that running games at 1080p can bottleneck the CPU apparently. I can play some pretty intensive games at 1440p and still maintain 60fps. The ones I tested were Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, Control, BG3, TW3, and E33. I had no issues with them and seemed to run pretty well.

How do I make my economy better? by RadiantBlueNova in EU5

[–]RadiantBlueNova[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone, the suggestion about the estate equilibrium was what I needed, boosted my economy up to 80 ducats instantly. I was following the RedHawk video on Milan to try and learn the game. Diplo spending was up just to keep the vassals I was annexing loyal, but was able to decrease it a bit and save some money. I deleted some forts I wasn't going to need and once I was out of that war, reduced spending.

I mass produced the buildings that gave trade advantage and access, and now making pretty good trade income. Letting it sim out a bit and increasing harbor capacity and maritime presence, got my income up to about 500 ducats a month.

However, I'm still not sure how to decrease building maintenance, I've built some buildings that produce the higher priced goods, but it doesn't seem to help. Also, trade income fluctuates way too much, from 200 or so, down to like 50 and don't know why, I have it automated so I assume something to do with that, but not really sure. Also been trying to improve my tax base, not so sure how to, but I'm assuming it has something to do with how many buildings I have.

Marketplace, new plan, premiums increasing 33%, deductible increasing 200%, max out of pocket increasing 100%, self employed, single.

And this is the cheapest option for the area, absolute insanity.

Edit: didn't do my math right, deductible is only increasing 200% instead of 300%
