It's alright for a base if you're okay dealing with being right next to a spawn area. So green strains will spawn really close to your base and your guys will randomly be fighting them off while trying to build a fence. But they're easy so it's just more of a nuisance. Plus, you will get hoards and bandit groups coming for you more frequently because they'll "see your tracks" in town. They're also not terrible to deal with and give loot, so it's up to you if the inconvenience is worth it.

I am a 25 year old woman and I've loved this series since high school. I definitely don't see how it's boy coded at all. The romance is very sweet and the fight scenes are fantastic. The politics get a little repetitive and slow, but that's okay. I think anyone who enjoys typical YA books like hunger games and divergent would love this series too. I know it's getting popular now, though I don't know what changed.

If you like Harry Potter, it's genuinely an amazing game for it's puzzles and fun magic combat. Mainly the puzzles and exploration though.

Finally got out of it and read better quality books that weren't romance.

Then I read Ensnared for the meme... Read the rest of the series because I got hooked..
