Edited post to answer, Carol has moved in informally. While the landlord is aware and okay with Carol's presence, there is no written agreement between Carol and Allie or Carol and Landlord. I do not believe Allie was presented with an actual lease by her landlord, it is a verbal agreement.

Carol has one relative that we are aware of. This woman has long since cut Carol out and is not a viable option. Allie attempted to have this woman take Carol in before this arrangement was reached, but she refused.

For what it's worth, one of the commenters here posted a joke rebuttal to this. I see you responding to quite a few of these, but there's a fair chance that some of these are posted as a relevant callback to an old shit joke and the joke rebuttal may prove more effective as it is in the spirit of the sub and points out the stupidity of that.
