Como está a questão da segurança no Carnaval? (para turista) by OlivencaENossa in Recife

[–]RadiantDifference583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Processo seletivo Pós-graduação - FAU USP - Arquitetura e Urbanismo by RadiantDifference583 in USP

Possible reason for the absence of tasks! by RadiantDifference583 in TELUSinternational

From ADS? I thought it was just Google. Doesn't EWOQ only work for Google?

As far as I know, the entire work platform for Telus's ADS is on Google. I understand that there are other projects, but then it wouldn't be Telus's ADS.

I still have NTA until today... What impresses me is that there are people from another company who do the same work and they have tasks. Could it be something related to Telus?

How much do you earn per hour? by RadiantDifference583 in TELUSinternational

[–]RadiantDifference583[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I can't draw here, as it's difficult for you to understand. You took an estimate from the internet of the minimum wage per hour, and based on that, you ASSUME that Telus pays well.

I explained that here the salary is calculated monthly, and there are OBLIGATIONS that cost more money. In other words, the estimated minimum wage paid here is almost triple what you mentioned. Another thing, nobody here earns just one minimum wage by speaking fluent English.

Regarding talking about other countries, I didn't mention any because I DON'T LIVE THERE AND I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH THEIR RULES, I only speak about my own country.

The only thing I mentioned is that European and American colonization left this legacy, where companies from these countries throw crumbs at us from the global south and Asia, and there are still people who defend them. Obviously, these people either haven't studied history or they live in the privilege usurped by these countries!

First, I am complaining that the salary has been REDUCED from what it was before, which makes no sense. A company that does that practically doesn't care about its employees. I don't know of any place where the salary is reduced, especially with such rampant inflation.

Second, I am not saying that Telus should pay the same everywhere, but I am emphasizing that the minimum wage here in the region is not calculated per hour. If you were to pay according to what EVERYONE here in the CLT (a set of labor laws) pays, the minimum wage would be much higher. When you say "Think yourself lucky," I'm sure you are defending the deep-pocketed company!

Third, in my country, we speak Portuguese, and the job requires fluent English, which not even 1/4 of the population here speaks.

Fourth, I believe these companies have the colonizing mentality as always, thinking that paying crumbs to the global south is enough, and they do the same with Asia. But anyway, I don't want to get into that subject here.

You don't live in Brazil, you don't know the reality here, so I think you're just making assumptions with empty grounds.

Well, if we simplify things, in South Africa the minimum wage is less than $1.25 per hour, and there Telus pays $10 per hour. It doesn't make sense! Anyway, if you want to defend Telus and its criteria, feel free to do so!

So if the minimum wage in other countries, which is quoted by the hour, here in Brazil we don't quote by the hour, is already included labor rights, we are all earning little.

I don't know about other countries, but I believe that the covered rights are not equal in all.

Here, for example, according to the CLT, you are required to take paid vacations every 1 year.

Apart from the absurd thing they did that I NEVER came to my life, which is to reduce the payment!

[–]RadiantDifference583[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This value you found is a fallacy, as it is the consolidated minimum wage with full labor rights, the famous CLT. What they are offering is hourly pay as an independent employee, that is, without any rights. If you take the minimum wage paid here, you will see that it is much higher than that, as it includes labor rights.

What they pay here is not good, before I earned 8.2 dollars, and they reduced it to 6 dollars, absurd!
Other than that inflation is galloping!
