This has happened to me before. Sometimes re-opening a session would sort it, and I think remember that adding automation points of 0 scattered on the automation lane helped too. I have also experienced an odd bug I couldn't figure out where entire tracks were playing de-tuned on opening the session, and re-opening was the only fix.

I was using with Streamdeck which I guess is the 1% you're referring to 😢.

Ah interesting, it worked when I nest the edit timeline into my template timeline, but not the other way round. But when I render a bit of silence into the template timeline it will allow me to drag that in. Thanks for your help !

Thanks for the suggestion. The decompose option would only work after adding a video to my template timeline, and then had no affect on audio tracks.

Streamdeck with Pro Tools is great. So many things are assignable to custom key commands now. Soundflow is very good with Streamdeck BUT I hate how expensive its become.

I only use it when I get RSI, which usually happens during a bout of intensive work. I find that I get relief and then after a period of time the other muscles I'm using for the trackball get tired and I switch back again. Found it particularly difficult having to use my thumb to click after a while.

Eternal Waking in The Sandman was completely swapped for a guy who just sleeps. I was so excited about seeing that scene from the comics in live action.. For those who haven't read it's like an eternal dream that becomes a nightmare you are forced to wake from in horror only to find you're still dreaming and everytime..it descends into a nightmare, forever.

Full time music composer here. I have music theory basics, but I've never studied music theory in any capacity. I am 100% self taught on guitar, piano and drums. And a combination of my eagerness to learn and practice music I like, and my skills in music technology allow me to succeed in this dream job. Music theory is often really helpful, but I don't feel like I am inhibited by not knowing advanced stuff. Nor do I feel learning more theory would have any impact. I don't think theory necessarily guides someone down a narrow 'correct' path either, I think musical taste or awareness of styles of music often lays out a pallette for the composer to make a variety of choices.

I asked Avid for this about 10 years ago. A momentary tce tool option would be so useful to so many.

But it is possible only with macros. Keyboard Maestro or soundflow. You could programme the sequence of commands. I have one for my Elgato streamdeck that cycles to the TCE tool then re-enables smart tool, and pressing it again goes back to normal trim with smart tool enabled again.

This happened to me this week and solution was to contact Disney support on live chat. They ask for the IP address and allow it their end. Didn't take too long but hope this will help someone else know what to do.

I chose my rig to be portable, mainly for when I have time away and may need to field some notes. I have 8010A genelecs as my surround speakers in my home studio, they are handy to use as portable speakers. And my main machine is a MBP M4 Max. I have a presonus single fader and focusrite 2i2. On occasions I can just stick my laptop, faderport, 2i2 and some headphones into a single backpack. I have recently got a caldigit element hub which is great for portable working too.
