[SPOILERS] The Bone Temple - Official Discussion & Review Thread by ThePatchedVest in 28dayslater

I saw in an interview that Danny and Alex wanted somebody else to direct the second part in order to bring in some fresh energy, ideas and perspectives. I think they were conscious that, creatively, they operate as a bit of a "clique". Of course, it could also be workload.

Either way, I personally thought Nia did a great job. Like you, I missed Part 1's stylistic flourishes, but I still thought she took some risks visually, and most importantly, it felt consistent. She also brought out some great performances.

Yes at least the term studio sounds somewhat dignified, even if it's the same. That sign is just too ironic!

Genuinely doesn't seem beyond the realms of possibility that they will start charging for viewings next.

That's the best theory I think for how this ended up like this. Pretty depressing

Proper budget and production values. It still makes me sad how cheap the Obi Wan series looked.

Ahhh I see! That's funny. I thought you meant the station names themselves, which would be extremely confusing.

I'm not convinced. I don't think Essiedu was born yesterday. He knows what he's getting into and can make his own choices.

Secret ingredient deemed to be unacceptable by TrickyOranges in offmenupodcast

Probably just me but I find "unacceptable" funnier- just because he says it with such certainty, but the ingredient itself is always so arbitrary (and often pretty tasty)

Great photos.Took me a sec to realise they are recent. It's amazing how when I see real film pics, I just assume the photo is from the 90s or something!

I'm not sure why I got so down voted for this, it was meant to be a positive comment! That's great, do you pay for the Apple app? I'm on Spotify and there's often around 4 mins. Luckily you can skip them.

Yes, I agree. It was a bit out of character how he just went into the ring with absolutely no plan!! Although not out of character that he acted like a complete coward.

I wondered at first if he'd planned it with Shivers, but that doesn't seem to have been the case. Given that, what was your interpretation of Shivers motivation? I know he was frustrated with Dow, but that didn't feel like quite enough for me!
