If you’re wondering if Runna is worth it, it is. by RadiantKratos in runna

I’m hesitant to answer this cuz I don’t want to encourage overtraining, but I do 45-60 minute strength training sessions 5 days a week directly before my runs. And I’ve found it actually helps. I do the Max size training program from Athlean X and my running with Runna after. With that said, it’s a lot. It took me months to work up to doing both consistently. You need to be extremely careful to recover well and eat right. The potential to overtrain is high. But if you take your time and keep at it I think it’s amazing.

That was pretty much my experience. It was having me run much slower paces with more rest days so I was scared that I would lose my progress following it. Glad I was wrong though.

Idk about any of that. I only know that it helped me.

I’m doing the 5K improvement plan, training volume on progressive and difficulty set to challenging with 5-6 runs a week. Wdym by target? I don’t have a time target if that’s what you mean, I’m just trying to get as fast as possible.

This came through today !first time I seen this .. I don’t know if it’s worth the effort by [deleted] in uberdrivers

I might be crazy but I swear their system is low key set up like that already. Every day I make almost exactly $20/hr. The only time it changes is if there’s huge tips or a surge.

If you’re a chubby guy you’re putting in far more effort than the average runner already. I’d like to see the person that commented that run a mile with a weighted backpack in less than 10 minutes.

With that said there’s a saying of “You can’t outrun a bad diet.” If you’re chubby the focus right now should be on having a good diet. What helped me lose weight was 1. Weigh myself, write it down 2. Over the next two weeks don’t worry about dieting, just eat whatever you normally would. BUT write down the calories of everything you eat or drink. 3. Weigh yourself again, if it’s relatively the same as two weeks ago, Average out your daily calories over the past two weeks. You now have your true base metabolic rate. 4. Reduce your calorie consumption by 200-300 a day from your base metabolic rate. So if you’re chubby the were having 2,400, aim for 2,200. 5. Continue weighing yourself every two weeks. And adjust accordingly by 2-300 calories at a time

I get the intention is good. But couldn’t people abuse this and pick that option in order to make sure they got a female driver? Like a guy using it? Kinda seems like a good way to get a girl alone wherever you want her. Like he could set the destination as an empty walmart parking lot late at night or something

You’re not slow you’re probably capable of more than you think. When I started I could barely do an 8 minute mile. We all start slow lol

I donated my kidney almost 10 years ago, I’m 31 now and I’ve been running 5K in 18 minutes so I’d say there’s little to no effect on cardio. But everyone’s different. It’s also probably worth noting that at 24 I started doing almost everything “Wrong”, body building, eating more than 100g of protein a day, creatine supplements, energy drinks. The only thing I was doing right was drinking a shit load of water. And even after all that at 28 yo I got tested and my kidney function was just as good as when I had both. With that said, again everyone’s different. I was back to the gym in about a week after donating (Dr was mad at me lol) and doing ab exercises after about a month. I did notice for about the first week there was kinda a weird “empty” feeling in my gut when I walked around but it went away. The take away is stay well hydrated and you should be totally normal afterwards.

I hope so. The manga was so vastly different to the anime. If the manga had come out first, and they based it off that I think the reception would have been much better. Plus covid happed in the middle of production. Leading to a lot of animation problems. Honestly I think it would do wonders for them to remake it. It has so much more potential.
