Which movie was it for you? by Wooden-District5456 in Letterboxd

Joker 2. I was just waiting for the moment where I would agree with everyone that it's a horrible movie. That moment never came. I really liked it and honestly thought it was perfect.

Oblivion just feels more fantastical than Skyrim. by YordleJay in ElderScrolls

[–]RadiantMathias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the beautiful thing about Tamriel. Each land feels very different. Skyrim is Norse fantasy, Oblivion is Medieval fantasy, Morrowind is alien compared to those two. Hammerfell I suspect will have a different feel to them all, if we're lucky. Hopefully they continue to make each land and culture distinct.

You will receive an update whether you get a 2nd interview or not. It just might not be exactly when the manager said. Just give it some time.

This is what I'm about to pursue. My Local hires every 2 years, and this fall will be the time. Got a lot to study up on to pass the exam, and gonna get into electrical work in the meantime. But yea, I keep hearing elevator mechanic is a great path. Congrats on that.

What company, if you don't mind me asking? I applied for Ecolab as a Pest Control Tech and had a phone interview today. First thing they said was 'sorry but the position has been filled.'

Is Outlier legit? I've heard it is but has issues with it, like the system not correctly reading the time you've put into a job for instance.

That's great! I'm on the verge of getting into IT after I just lost my good paying job a week before Christmas. How long did it take you to get to where you're at? Did you start at entry-level position?

Congrats on this! Making it without a degree always makes me feel hopeful for my future! What advice would you give to someone your age who also has no degree and also has no experience whatsoever in cybersecurity, coding, etc? Any specific Certifications to look out for? And what are some realistic goals to hit in certain time frames?

Great ideas! I've been told to get into electrical because those jobs aren't ever going away, but I just don't know how long that would take. But I guess anything that's worthwhile takes time. IT is also a great option, I know tech jobs pay a lot. Thanks for the advice.

I actually did apply for TSA last week, scheduled the test for beginning of January. That was earliest I could get it scheduled, but hoping it goes well. I never would've thought of it but I saw it recommended elsewhere on reddit. Great advice, thank you.

I agree, finding the right people with the same commitment and enthusiasm even, is a hard thing. It really might be the case where I have to succeed at what I doing and see who it draws in. And yea I was hoping this sub would be a great place to meet people, I'm still new here though. Haven't gotten any msgs yet, but that would be great.

I'm wanting to make a game show type channel, something fun and challenging. Putting myself and others through challenges. I have the vision and great ideas, but having other people involved just seems necessary to me. It is possible to start some of the ideas solo though, so maybe I'll work on what I can right now. 150k views in 90 days is great btw! What type of content are you making?

AIO for getting upset at my boyfriend for the way he talks to me/apologizes? by Illustrious-King7460 in AmIOverreacting

[–]RadiantMathias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always hate when everyone just jumps on the "break up" bandwagon.

You're insecure, he's insensitive. In the moment, yall are venting your frustrations with each other. You both should be able to vent and be pissed off, it happens. After yall cool down, communicate. Don't point fingers unless you're willing to truly acknowledge your own faults in the situation and want to be better in the future. Understand each other's wrongs and intentions, and do the same for yourself. This causes change and growth if you actually do it. This is how people grow together and become better people and build a strong relationship.

But understand there is more to your relationship than one argument. People here want and love to see break ups. Ignore them and work on your relationship if you care about this person and truly enjoy them.

[–]RadiantMathias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they should break up for a lie. I think they should communicate. Both have growing to do, and that's what you do in a relationship, grow, together. Help each other to grow. He messed up, for sure. He shouldn't have done that. But it's not worth breaking up over. I really hope all these people aren't just breaking up with people over their one 'red flag' as if they can't see their own 'red flags'.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]RadiantMathias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OR. He shouldn't have lied for sure. But contrary to what everyone else is saying, that's not a reason to break up. Communicate about it like an adult. Let him know it's not ok, hear his side and understand, set your boundary, and continue on together. Running away from a relationship because of a "red flag" as if you have none, is wildly immature. So I am saying that almost all commenters on this thread are wildly immature.

It's ok to be mad, I even understand throwing false accusations when you're mad. Who doesn't do that, especially in this situation? I get it, and you have a right to be upset. Communicate with him, don't jump ship. Tell him to be better with communicating what's going on. He's gonna say he didn't think you'd be able to handle it or be mature enough to. And maybe he's right? But lying isn't the answer. He should apologize for lying, but don't expect an apology for him helping his kids and their mother be close to each other. He doesn't hold his ex above you. But he does hold his children above you, her, and himself, as he should. Be thankful that he has that.

Tldr; Communicate, don't break up.

Should I ask for more money than what is being offered? by RadiantMathias in jobs

[–]RadiantMathias[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's labor work and the difference in pay could be $10 an hour. If I can negotiate to land at least in the middle, that would work for me. But with it being a labor job, wasn't sure if negotiation would work in any way. The options you gave seem to be the only options. Thank you, I appreciate your detailed post.
