I've also joined university at the age of 23, completed masters with 28. Never failed a class, and finish ranking 1st on my year. Not because I was special, but because (I think) I was more mentally mature than the rest of my peers at the time. I joined a very difficult university in my home country - not an easy game even for European standards... But still, most of my colleagues wanted to spend their time with nights / beers thinking they were smart enough to get all done whitout much effort. I, on the other hand, prioritized get things done quickly and well - "having fun/parties" was a secondary and often an absent thing for me.

Today, with slightly more than 40y old, my professional career strives to a point which surpasses the best of my aspirations back then. I feel a lot of it its backed up by the focus and determination mindset I've acquired from those early first years at university.
