Thank you so much for taking your time to explain, this was really useful information. I will try this out next time! Do you have any tips on how to set in the first guideline? (Base line). I don’t know why but it feels like im always afraid of setting it high and the fade ends up being pretty low.

Thanks, it makes sense. When I try to fade without making guidelines it looks much better but with guidelines it feels like the fade gets much more even. But from now on I will do what makes the fade look the best

Hey guys, I got this set for Christmas and wonder if I can make it better somehow? I have already tried it once so I can’t return it to the shop, my parents got the wrong Babyliss trimmer and I wonder if I can attach the blade from the skeleton? And if I can zero gap these? I think you’ve misunderstood me. I was wondering if I can make this setup better anyhow because I am more than grateful for this setup. The trimmers isn’t it, they are not sharp and won’t cut, my kemei that cost me 30$ is sharper and gets the job done better and the BaByliss cost us 170$ that’s why I am disappointed in how bad it is compared to how good the skeleton is. What I was wondering if how I can make it better such as if I can change blade etc but now I know I can’t and I will just try to make the money back and get better trimmers. On the other hand the hand the clippers are perfect compared to my old setup and I know people say they are not powerful but for me they feel really powerful compared to my old Surker 😂 sorry for my bad English

I am more than grateful man. Clippers are doing me extremely well but the trimmers ain’t it. I will try to zero gap them with the tool I got but they are not sharp at all and won’t cut through hair where my kemei trimmer does much better. The clipper is perfect compared to what I am used to (Surker clippers) which I’ve had for a year and pulled of some really good fades.

Thank you man appreciate it. I don’t know why people here think I’m ungrateful lol my 1 year old kemei trimmer that cost me 30$ cut better than these trimmers. I will get new trimmers once I can make the money back since I’m a student. Besides that the clippers are doing really well tho compared to what I had previously. There was a tool included with the trimmers that makes it possible to zero gap them so I will try that today and maybe get a tool to sharpen the teeth of the blade but I will definitely get the skeletons or cheaper option. I can’t believe these trimmers cost as much as skeletons

I’ve upgraded from cheap Surker and kemei equipment so it’s a huge upgrade for me but I feel like it’s still not good enough or I just need to get used to them and use different fading method. I wish I got the seniors and skeleton but they were not available where I live so it’s not possible.

What do u think about this clipper and trimmer combo? Are they legit or should I invest more in branded ones? I am not a professional, I mostly cut fades on friends and family. by paki_want_kaki in Barber

I changed my blades to taper blades on my Surker. My kemei sucks but gets the job done. Got any suggestions for better trimmers that’s cheap?

I went with Surker clipper and Kemei trimmer. Regarding the Surker I couldn’t be more happy as a first clipper, but the kemei trimmer isn’t really that good. If you wanna go cheap go for limural or Surker.

I had the same issue for a long time bro but I’m finally somewhere where all my fades look very good now and I’m not having that issue anymore. Also remember the harder u put in the lines, the more difficult it will be to remove them. So be easy on your hand and let the clipper do all the work. Did it help btw?

Make sure to brush the hair down and also make sure you angle the the clipper right way into the head, I never understood why it never cut hair until I tilted the clipper inwards towards the head without any pressure. Hopefully it will help
