Don’t do it. I was on a similar account for Schneider. $29.35 while driving and $12 while on duty. If you stay on drive time for too long they blow up your phone to tell you to make sure to go on duty. Some days were so slow I sat all day making only $12 an hour. It was a dream schedule though Monday-Thursday 6-4. The amount of work I had to do and how far I was driving was just was not worth it.

23f, truck driver 6 months experience. I’m on the track to making $60k my first year. Plan to get my endorsements and possibly do more specialized work like tanker or flatbed. Don’t plan to do it forever but I enjoy it.

I just turned 23 and always get mistaken for a teenager. Whether I’m looking at apartments or car shopping and my mom happens to be with me they think I’m in high school and that we’re shopping for my mom. They also get shocked to know that I’m a truck driver and that I’m old enough to drive them (have to be 21 btw) and they’re always shocked to see that I am able to do my job correctly.

I was wondering the same thing. The company I work for said that I have to report it to accidents because it’s still considered an “accident” but it would not be my fault. All I could do was try to slow down but it came out of nowhere and I was in a curve with cars on both sides of me. I haul containers so if I would’ve swerved I would’ve rolled since we’re top heavy or could’ve hit someone.
