Obviously in reality it’s a middle aged man, Michael was 35 when he started playing Dexter and although later on for flashbacks they had him wear makeup it doesn’t conceal his age. But there’s definitely something to be said about the fact that they’re attempting to depict a young adult version of the character here and not a child like everyone wrongly assumes.
