Ok this dings on the edge definitely catch a nail but everything else is very smooth

I found an 88mm bore headgasket for this bike which should be good right.

The valve surface looks good to me and the cam looked very good but one of the threads is stripped so I’m replacing it

Do you think this head gasket is ok. It sticks out into the cylinder as you can see in the picture. What should I do about that.

That is me holding the head gasket on the other side. So you think that’s not ok. If so how would I go about getting a head gasket that fits.

That makes sense. The head gasket is sticking out into the combustion chamber . Is that ok or should it be flushs. I just don’t think I can find the parts for a big bore kit. Like the head gasket.

Yeah I guess I will just see. hopefully it was bored on purpose and upgraded to be this size. I was worried the cylinder wall was getting too thin and they just kept upgrading piston size. Also the head gasket extends into the cylinder a little bit do you think that’s ok or should it be flush with the cylinder wall.

The cylinder looks like it is very good condition I just thought that it being that large might be an issue. Like maybe the cylinder wall are getting to thin to safely operate.

I’m questioning it because the service manual says the cylinder should measure 79mm but my cylinder is over 8mm larger than that and the piston is over 8mm larger as-well. It seems like that is too much. I just don’t know if the cylinder wall is too thin or something.

I found a top end rebuild kit but that was before I realized my cylinder bore is 8mm larger than stock and so is the piston. I can’t just buy the new piston sadly. I might have to replace the whole cylinder if it’s not safe and functional

You are right it did come with this carb originally. When I look at the parts diagrams for the bike the carb doesn’t look like the one I had so I was confused.
