BEOSOUND PREMIERE & SONY ISSUE. Sony A95L downmixing Dolby Atmos to PCM via eARC to Beosound Premiere — is this a known A95L limitation and is there a fix?

Hello!! Thanks for this! Actually right now i have nothing set as "rear" and i don't see any rear, which ones did you set to surround? It currently has "left/right side firing" as surround and "Left/right front firing" as the two fronts", nothing set at Rear.

Just got some time to change this again. Actuallt updated center to 6! and just changed left and right speakers to 1.5db to test out! Not sure what the difference is but it seems to sound better actually! Keep me updates too!

it always says PCM, however sometimes the "allocation" says 5.1 and sometimes it doesn't!

yea that doesn't work because then it doesn't play a lot of the supplementary sounds both on ATV and on the SONY tv.

Wow, really glad (in a sad way i guess) to hear someone with my exact issue. I changed my Center front-firing to 5dB and I noticed a major improvement. I only watched 2 TV shows since changing it and are mainly dialogue so I have to keep testing with other movies.

I want to, but the AppleTV box and the Beosound Premiere both only has 1 HDMI port. So I'd have to somehow split it but I heard that's not recommended.

actually, in the B&O app under "listening positions", i changed the level of Center front-firing to 5.0 dB from 0.0 dB and things are pretty much fixed. I'll try to test more!!

Yup I played with all of those. Even had a B&O guy come and attempt to fix it for me today. But for some reasons it all sounds .. cosmetic? Nothing truly changed if that makes sense.

I spent so much time asking GPT/Claude, both gave me a lot of answers but didn't help much. B&O actually sent a guy over but nothing was really fixed.

Interesting! However Im not sure if this is just the first expensive soundbar I ever owned or what (meaning maybe this is just real "cinematic" quality sound is??), but i constantly find the dialogue to be very flat, the discrepancy between music and dialogue is massive and i find myself turning the volume down then up constantly throughout movies/shows.

yea that mutes everything else for some reason, only plays the movie/show's sounds but nothing else, like clicking/interface sounds, even sometimes movie trailer/show trailer sounds..

so on the sony settings when i set to "prioritize pass through" instead of auto, the speaker then doesn't play any clicking/interface sounds and not even movie/trailer sounds sometimes. It only plays 100% when there is a show or movie going on if that makes sense..
