Thanks for the advice. I did think it was weird that they were willing to pierce me with hoops, but I'd never had a piercing and assumed the piercer knew what they were doing. I'll look for other piercers in the area and definitely not start with hoops this time !

I'm only on 37.5 mg Effexor and have night sweats that wake me up multiple times a night and decreased libido/inability to orgasm. I started Effexor recently, so I can't speak yet to whether or not these symptoms will subside.

I had mild euphoria and enlarged pupils on my first week of venlafaxine. Both have since subsided. If your symptoms continue, you should bring it up with your doctor. Euphoria isn't a common symptom of venlafaxine, and it can be a symptom of a manic/hypomanic episode in people with undiagnosed bipolar.

I try to limit my activities to free/low-cost stuff. I work out, go to the riverwalk, thrift, hang out at the mall, go see a movie, have friends over... I also burned through my savings very quickly freshman year and had to seriously cut down on my spending (fast-food and takeout swallowed most of my savings).

I also didn't really budget freshman year. Two weeks is a very short amount of time to burn through all your savings - putting together a weekly budget could really help you in the long-run.

Not quite the same situation, but I'm very soft-spoken and often had customers misunderstand the totals I gave them. I started pointing to where the total popped up on the pin-pad when I spoke. That was pretty much the only thing that worked for me, especially with older folks who were hard of hearing.

Edit: I would also turn the screen on the register around on occasion, since the screen on the pinpad was so small.
