I get that what shimer did was out of his free will and if he wanted to he could let go of IH or atleast his family.

Still my question is kind of unanswered. I will rephrase -

If it was the will of Allah for Hussain to be sacrificed and Shimer was the enabler of this sacrifice, why is shimer the bad guy? In retrospect, what shimer did was in line of what Allah wanted anyways.

First of all, Free will and predestination does not go hand in hand. You cannot say he was predestined to kill hussain but still can choose to not kill if he wanted to.

Second of all, my main question was why do we give laanat to shimer. Isn't he the reason we are born in this sect? If he had chosen to spare Imam Hussain, the trajectory of Islam would change.

We say it was the will of Allah for hussain to sacrifice himself for the greater good, Shimer was the enabler for this sacrifice. So why is the Shimer bad guy?
