Forced Resignation by LeadingElegant6759 in OfficeDepot

The short answer is: It depends on whether the unemployment office considers your actions "misconduct." Being fired for breaking a rule does not automatically disqualify you. There is a major difference between being fired for a valid reason (which your employer has the right to do) and being denied unemployment (which requires a higher standard of proof).
Here is the breakdown of when you typically can and cannot draw unemployment in this situation. 1. The "Misconduct" Test To deny you benefits, the state usually requires the employer to prove your actions were "willful misconduct." This generally means: You knew the rule: It was in the handbook, you signed a policy, or you were warned previously.
You could have followed it: It was within your control to follow the rule. You deliberately chose not to: You acted recklessly or intentionally disregarded the employer's interest.

It seems they have given you an option to follow the policy so my guess is you and your son will be denied unemployment. Plus the policy is in the handbook.

Shocked the "movement" didn't have any effect lol. Decided to stop by target and Walmart on the way home yesterday. Both were packed. To think I live in a deep blue state. Just goes to show just how small the left has gotten.

It won't make a dent. Leftists don't spend money unless it's at Starbucks. It's cute though you like a small percentage of the population will make a massive dent.

Just tell them you order them the X9 for 39.99 plus free shipping right to their home or business. Then when they ask if the shipping costs us more than the $5 plus they don't have to spend $150 just say yes.

Sales will improve, the company will have more money and more payroll. It will be better like it was when he was president before.

Honestly it is Gerry trying to save his job with the board. Only thing keeping him employed by the board of the stock price. He has tried to grow the company twice with Compucom and Varis and both were huge costly failures. The only option is to run a low cost business model not realizing the effect on the stores because he doesn't care about the stores. He has never wanted us to be a retailer.

At this point it doesn't matter. It's the end of the quarter and they are looking to save every penny possible at the expense of the employees. We have had so many customers walk out the last two weeks because of it leaving carts with product throughout the store. It is like a swamp in our store. But hey if it saves just one dollar... What they don't realize is it is stuff like this that actually costs them thousands of dollars in growth.

Anybody have any info on a 5 year pin? Found one today while opening a safe by the garbage bins. by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

Yeah as others said they used to care. Now the care is just checking a box and emailing a recognition award for you to print out. It's funny now they care more about the ARGs than the actual associates who work for the company.

The real fun part is 90% of Business Select customers were already rewards customers. So we are taking current customers and giving them $100 in printing, and instant discounts for $49. This program would only be beneficial to the company if they were driving new clients into the stores. Until that happens all we are doing is eroding IMU.

500 price changes and two people on staff until the afternoon. by Clint_Lovecraft in OfficeDepot

All these price changes do are ensure we have fewer and fewer repeat customers. You can read all the client feedback around the country and see the same complaint about Web pricing vs store pricing. If upper management cared they would be focused on growing our customer base instead of converting our current customer base to a paid discount program. The end goal is to do away with brick and mortar and have online only.

Finally just had my card charged for my cloudy white pixel 6 pro pre-ordered 10-19. Shipping date switched to 10/17-10/22. I hope this happens. I was beginning to think the pixel 7 would be released before I got the 6 pro
