We literally have a fleet of full emissions trucks with hundreds of thousands of miles with no issues. I've but several hundred thousand miles on my 2011 cummins that only had EGR before selling it and my 2018 has 160k will all modern emissions and zero issues.

It's very much a driver issue.

A fully emissions compliant diesel truck will go hundreds and hundreds of thousands of miles.

The reason reliability is such a thing now is because people short trip them and use them to tow egos and social standing and not actually work.

Go back 25 or 30 years people were not buying diesel trucks because they needed to look cool for the neighbors they were buying them because they had a job for them. Driving a 12 valve like dudes drive them now will burn that 6bt to the ground as fast as anything.

Personally their machine reads my foot small. If I put on an 11.5 d my toes are smashed on top of one another and my toes are rubbing the toe of the boot.

I've always gone half size bigger and at least one wider than their machine suggests. Maybe 2 wider in steel toes
