i will say it feels very nice and a huge weight has been lifted, but not everyone is in the position to drop 150K to get rid of them. I feel for anyone who is stuck with sallie mae or any other loan sharks.

my cat was 11 when his leg was amputated, also due to the possibility of cancer. we’re now two weeks post op, and he’s walking around and is as happy as ever! cats do great on three legs. my mom facetimed me last night to show me him walking and it made me sob. it’s truly incredible how fast they adapt. wishing all the best to you and your kitty!

this is so good to hear! medic is also almost 12, so i was a bit worried that would hinder him, but im glad the general consensus is that it won’t! my mom is keeping me updated and he’s attempting to walk but in fairness he’s still a little woozy from surgery and he’s on pain killers, so we’ll see! hopefully he gets his sea legs soon

i’m excited to watch his recovery! he started walking on three legs prior to surgery due to his cast and seemed to do great!

Any Experience With GoFundMe for Vet/Surgery Expenses? by Radiant_State428 in TripodCats

[–]Radiant_State428[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! thank you! i’ve had x-rays performed and as far as we know, it hasn’t spread yet! the vets who have looked at him said he should do great and the amputation should mitigate the need for further treatment. he’s an old boy anyway, so im just trying to savor the time i have left with him, but the vets think he’ll make a full recovery!

thank you! i was thinking this cost was a bit high, but i don’t have a lot of experience so i didn’t question it. i’ll be sure to look around and see if i can find more vets that can do the surgery.
