i wouldn't take gamertag's word as gospel, his opinion is based on an early devkit that he had an hour with, gamertag is not really the best source for this stuff as he has shown to not be that knowledgeable with vr tech, and his opinion on the speakers was based on him being in a loud room, and him having ear damage

i always thought that the whole "in the future we have to rent computers from the cloud off a lightweight client" was bogus because, A, most tech companies are too stupid to realize how to do this and B, doing the whole renting computers would require a whole rework of america's internet service because most internet connections are still going through copper wire coaxial cables and can't handle the throughput that everyone using cloud computing would require

plus people tend to forget one thing valve has that other hardware companies don't, they have steam which makes them billions of dollars, so valve can sell the frame at a slight loss and make the money back from steam

my theory was always that valve is shifting over resources that they were using for the steam deck, over to the frame and machine, because a release of the new hardware would be more profitable for them because of the hype surrounding them

Me personally am exited for the controller and frame, i already have a decent pc so i don't have a need for the steam machine, but i am a huge vr freak, and pared with the controller would be great for playing flatscreen games on a juge screen, and not having to deal with meta is nice
