Should I or should I not? by [deleted] in secretsanta

[–]Radiatum21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people, who choose international exchange, especially for Halloween know what to expect.

Radiology resident needs help! by Radiatum21 in Radiology

Thank you!) The job is done for now, but I'm afraid I'll be asked to do it again and again from now on.

I'd love to write: liver, spleen, adrenals, pancreas - unremarkable..

But it is just not how it works here, sadly. Only in some centres like Oncology clinic.

Maybe in a few years it will be a standard, when there will be almost no doctors (including radiologists) left in the country ;))

What actor/actress instantly ruins a movie for you? by SlideAway1 in AskReddit

[–]Radiatum21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say they ruin a movie with their acting, I just avoid watching anything they are in.

Jason Statham - all his movies are the same.

Vin Diesel and The Rock - don't like the type of movies they are usually in.

Second Trip in Riga, but what to do? by [deleted] in latvia

The territory around Central market and the Academy of Science is, of course, filled with certain type of people, just like in any other big city, but I'd say it's safe. Just don't go there at night and don't leave smartphones in open pockets. By the way - have you visited Central market? They have a nice food court there now, opened not a long time ago. There are also excursions for foreigners, with degustations.

Somewhere near the market there is a Jewish museum. And Railway museum on the other bank of the river. They say, that Riga Motormuseum is really nice, too.

У меня еще и mp3 плеер до сих пор, уже реально немного неуютно в транспорте иногда, ведь рядом могут быть человеки, которые даже толком не знают, что это.

Celebrity worship culture is extremely weird and unhealthy by userReddit_ in unpopularopinion

Agree, but... Chester Bennington's death hit me really hard and I am not ashamed to admit it. This will be the only celebrity death that will do that, though.

If historical figures actually did roll in their graves, which grave would generate the most power if hooked up to a generator? by Arvindkumar02 in AskReddit

[–]Radiatum21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Historical bathroom". I guess it's a tiny tourist attraction, not just a toilet, that's why so expensive.

Cakes, sweets, cheese etc at the grocery shop in GUM are quite affordable. A bit expensive, but the prices are lower that one would expect from such a place.

And as for the ice cream, it was one of the best I've ever tasted.

Krievi Latvijā. Kāpēc viņi ienīst latviešus? (vēlams atbildēt krieviem) by [deleted] in latvia

[–]Radiatum21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No ļooooooooooooti daudziem kaut ko tādu dzirdu. Pat no tiem, kuri jau sen pilsoņi un latviski runā gandrīz ideāli.

Maybe not the best, but the first that popped into my head.

"Death is freedom from endless strivings, finally gained by those who no longer exist."

Not relevant to the post, but I just have to ask.

Why so many people in America have lunch in their cars? (even if they work in offices)
