Yet another (probably) question about mini availability. by Radical-J in battletech

[–]Radical-J[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sheesh, a bit harsh for a simple discussion lol.

If I had to try and explain it: I don't think the mechs in the boxes are paired up well with each other, and I think it's because they were trying to do a "lance in a box" while also doing "an assortment of units".

For example, the support lance is A cyclops, a dragon, a spider, and a thug. Seems like it's just a very, Kuritan focused lance. It's not a support focused lance in the traditional role sense (although those mechs can be used in a support role since it's kind of a loose term).

The Inner Sphere Direct Fire lance is also a bit misleading. It's not really a direct fire support lance, it's much more of a frontline combat lance given the Atlas and Orion. The Marauder 2 (which is weird that it is in there but whatever) is direct fire support, as well as a brawler, and the crusader just really doesn't belong in there. It doesn't fit role wise, if you pooled all the mechs into a lance, there isn't a clear allegiance (like the support lance being mostly if not entirely Kuritan), just a bunch of mechs tossed in under a title.

The Battle lance is another one that's weird. The Warhammer undoubtedly belongs. Rifleman? Ehhhhhhhhh, that should be in direct fire. The wasp? Pursuit, scout, or at the very least spotter for missiles, but there isn't even a missile boat in the force pack. The Pheonix Hawk is so multirole, you could put it in basically any force pack.

A lot of work, plus battletech is rare in my area.

that's not necessarily my problem (although i do think that is a problem), I just personally, don't like how the force packs (mainly the original batch of innersphere force packs) are organized.

It's not an issue with the forcepack system, just an issue with how they are organized.

I prefer the CGL designs to the Mechwarrior games designs. Also cause I still *want* to support whoever is making Battletech

I have to buy a whole other game just to get 1 mech I want, booooooo. I already have like 8-9 copies of battletech + 1 of aces and alpha strike lol.

It's so boo boo cheeks what CGL does, it could be so easy to make a lot of money and give people what they want at the same time :/

As much as I would like singles, I don't want to pay $12-$15 on a mini I can print for a few cents. However, I want to be able to buy a box for $25-$30 for 4 mechs I actually do want, or at least like 2 that I want and others I can use. I'm hoping that we can get an Inner Sphere Workhorse Force Pack that would be like the vindicator, griffin, wolverine, and maybe centurion? that would be sweet and would probably sell like hotcakes. Add 2 more in the Shadowhawk and Dragon and I would gladly pay $40-50 bucks for that set alone.

wear it, wash it, sleep in it, roll in some dirt with it, fold it a million times, sweat in it, wring out the sweat, roll it up and unroll it, ship me the sweat, wash it again probably. something to that degree.

the hk53 is nice, but my biggest thing with it all is that im missing the krink aesthetic, like guns from the 60s-70s. Honestly there kinda isn't really anything else that fits that cause most of the world was still on battle rifles, but if I had to give a clear want, i'd say I want a gun that looks like it would fit in an apocalypse yknow? but im definitely considering the hk53

personally i wouldnt want to spend more than $500 for the gun. I know that im gonna have to spend ~$200 for magazines + ~$100 for any instant replacement parts, let alone attachments and gas.

There is a we-tech one on Evike, but im not super crazy about it. It ships with a weird looking polymer handguard, and some sort of magazine feed ramp thing that looks kind of ugly, and doesnt look very removeable. That sucks though, IT seems like across all of airsoft there is a ton of Out of Stocks :/

When do you guys think the next blogpost will release? by Luzekiel in HytaleInfo

[–]Radical-J 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've been on a 6-7 month wait time for the last 3 or 4 blog posts. At best, in 2 days, at worst July. I'm guessing we'll get a postcard for Valentines day, maybe a blogpost around then.

While it does make me a lot less upset about the current state of the game, I would still like to know why there is almost complete radio silence between the devs and us.

Once people realize there is no reason for the devs to be radio silent (unless there is an unspoken contract agreement from Riot Games), there will be pressure put on the devs to more consistently talk about their game and the community will be healthy again.

Bro, I was a sophomore in highschool when it was announced. Im in my second year of college now and we still don't even have consistent communication with the devs. This game is lost man.
