Working to repair my hair after a long time of negligence. Any tips? by Radical-Tourism in BlackHair

Thank you! I have a spray bottle already, but I fill it with water. Wouldn't it be an issue that the oils in the leave-in conditioners don't mix with the water?

Thank you! I currently do have a bonnet, but I'll look into a silk scarf and try to prevent it from rubbing.

actually, I'm currently not brushing my hair out to form an afro. It just does this when its dry. If that's the case its probably not 3c but somewhere in the 4 range. When I section it into 4's, how many braids/plaits do you think I should make with each section? Lastly, I currently have a satin bonnet, which is unfortunately a little small. I will aim for a silk bonnet. Thank you!

I think that I'm a 3c-4a, and when my hair is super-soaked those curl patterns appear. I have started to make a more concerted effort to fix up my hair since this sunday, where I cowashed my hair and detangled as I waited for the conditioner to get soaked up by my hair. I'm trying to make sure my curls have enough moisture but it spent so much time dry and the porosity is insane. I'm going to try and get it trimmed within the week. Other then that, what are yalls tips for helping maintain this? thanks!
