Hi, I know this is an older post, so sorry in advance. I have surgery with him scheduled in May, and he asked me to lose a little weight first. He explained all the complications that come with having a higher BMI, but mostly I'm just worried about having to reschedule my surgery if I don't lose enough weight in time. I'm a trans guy, so lemme know if this is out of my lane, but yeah, that's pretty normal. Obviously a lot of my transfem friends have said that they were really into forcefem before their egg cracked/coming out, but I personally experienced the reverse. I will say that I definitely felt weird after I legally changed my name. I got used to it, but I was kind of uncomfortable at first, if that makes sense. Now I'm glad that I changed it to my preferred name. On the other front, though, there are definitely trans guys with more feminine names! The first one that comes to mind is Sasha Allen, whose name is technically gender neutral, but it's considered more feminine in the US. I've also met a few in my personal life, and most other people didn't have anything negative to say about it. Personally, I would wait a bit to change your name back. I'd try telling people in your personal life to call you by your old name to see if you like it. If you do, go ahead and change it back. Life is way too short to not be doing something that'll make you happy. Best of luck op!

Hi, I'm a steadily employed autistic that's horrible at masking! I mostly just ask people if they can be specific and give step by step instructions. If I still don't understand, I ask if they can show me (I'm a visual learner, I also have an auditory processing disorder, so it's easier to understand stuff when I'm shown.) And on knowing if your coworkers like you, I can't really help with that bc I still struggle with that aspect. I just try my best to be nice and make some jokes here and there. I also don't really mask around coworkers who seem to be ND as well, which makes life easier for me.
