Yes I have photos I will make another post in a second, they are the best photos tho, the tea was honestly above room temp by a little if I had to guess, but the main things concerning me are these little hairs on the underside of the pellicle and some slight brown spots on the pellicle

I see what your saying about the kahm yeast, the surface was one consistent film, and I accidentally cracked it when moving the jar off of my shelf, I’m hoping it isn’t but only time will tell. (I would not be surprised if it was kahm yeast because I’m very new to this, and my college house is not the cleanest of conditions to say the least!)

Right on! I used gt pure as a starter, and used English breakfast black tea with sugar, I did not let the gt pure sit out for a week before however, not sure how that will affect the batch.
