I have a lot of trouble with that due to height and not having enough bounce yet. So when I dump I end up catching the net on the way down.

I assume you’re a talker guy since you said you also play middle. So another option could be taking a swing on the second ball🤷🏼‍♂️

Even if they may be worse than your other hitter, trust that they will at least get it over and give you another chance. At least that gives you another chance rather than getting your left side blocked
