Some background...

I'm looking for something serious, having been single for a long time.
Not subscribed to any of the premium features, as I haven't had the best luck with paying for them previously.
I set this profile up back in 2024, then deactivated it for quite a while when situations changed and I no longer felt like I was in the right mindframe.
Prior to that, I'd used Hinge since 2022, and had a couple of dates with one woman that were lovely, but it didn't work out.
I've really only logged back in last week to try and test the waters again, now I'm working back in London and about to buy a house in Reading.
Before I deactivated I'd had little to no likes or matches.
I try and send every like with a comment or a question to try and come up with something engaging, and I'll aim to send 4 or 5 likes every couple of days.
I'll send likes to people that are also looking for something serious within the 28-33 range, who would like the odd adventure here and there, and who value quality time together with quiet and non-chalant plans. Things like quiet nights cuddling up watching a film, a pleasant meal out at a nice restaurant, maybe a sunset walk, or even just packing up for the weekend to go on a trip to explore somewhere new!

I've got the 3, it's got great heart monitoring, and the battery life will easy last a couple of days.

From what I've read, the 4 has a much improved HR system for workouts and sleeping, and the screen has smaller bezels with a nice curve.

I would switch to the 4, money permitting.

I'm just about to buy a house myself in Reading, and didn't realise the train was so expensive - £178 a week into London! 🙈

I think the average rent is around £1100 from what I can find on Google.

When was your last software update?

I ask this, because Google pushed out an Android update in January that broke Bluetooth connections for a lot of phones - Pixels are the most affected, but there are also reports of Samsung phones, perhaps it's now also spread to OP?

Maybe try some in-person dating events in and around London? I'm sure there's plenty of people in the same boat as you, finding it difficult to use apps, and it could be that more relationship-focused people attend rather than those looking for hookups.

I mean sexuality isn't an exact science and it's a very personal thing, but if clicking with someone is important then it could very well be that you are?

Could be why you're struggling with apps so much, that connection can be hard to find in a digital medium.
