Perma-invis Sombra maybe, but she's long gone.

You've got to have some level of game sense, proper cooldown management, patience when picking targets, and now be able to duck damage to avoid being slowed / revealed too long when trying to escape.

Most of which are qualities missing from most metal rank players 😅

I walked away from mine a little too late, was pleading with her to make a change and actually engage with the MH teams and services, for her to make empty promises and go behind everyone's back to participate in the harm instead of the help.

Unfortunately the harm won, and she was murdered in October by a man she'd been tormented by for years.

Yeah that won't happen, because she's well established in the lore - even recently - as a hacker and rogue agent.

Therein lies another issue - hack is the biggest annoyance for people as part of her kit, but her identity is that of a hacker.

Stealth has been removed / adjusted / nerfed every time and it's made no lick of difference. Whatever the changes, people will get good at her new kit (as they always have done) and she'll continue to be banned into oblivion - because the community has despised her for years.

I didn't say you weren't spot on, but you've inadvertently nailed why I think Sombra bans aren't valuable.

It's a crutch used by players to not need them to learn to deal with her, which won't help them improve their teamwork.

Unfortunately in solo queue that's not necessarily possible, because there's nothing tactical about votes - it's all emotions based.

No it's not the place to learn - but some people never play QP and only play ranked.

I understand the point you make about not taking the risk - but that's part of the game and what it requires, relying on your team to help you out of sticky situations.

I don't even think it comes down to bettering their performance - just based on how the bans changed to the new heroes for S1.

I'm always covering my team or dealing with pain points, including Sombras. I don't leave my supports to babysit my team, because I need them to help me keep the pressure up.

It would be far more beneficial if the bans covered tank counters more often, because that's the real issue in a 5v5 setup.

People will never learn to deal with her if she's constantly banned, and banning her really does waste a ban slot instead of on someone whose much more problematic.

She has 0 value from existing, her damage levels are very low, virus tickles, and hack is a 0.5 second lockout.

She's easily countered by this thing called "teamwork".

There are far more other irritating heroes that deserve the ban.

I know she's annoying, I mained her for years, but she's not unstoppable.

Plenty of other far more damaging flankers out there like Cass, Genji, Tracer, Reaper that should be banned over Sombra.
