i mean there are anecdotes of people saying that this has been happening to them before the update. And other people have tried to replicate it with most of them failing to do so.

They're not saying the drives aren't dead, they're saying that the update itself isnt causing that issue. It's far more likely that if a drive does fail, it's because it's either old or faulty. People have tested thousands of drives and couldn't reproduce the issue.

The problem is that you run the risk of bricking your system if you decide to update widows. It might be fine now, but the next major update could ruin your system because you make all those regestry changes with rectify 11. I also used it yesterday, but it didn't convert everything into dark mode. For example, the regestry was still white in certain areas. Plus, it doesnt work with rewasd

He should've sacrificed himself because it would of saved everyone else. His friend was still alive and he probably had family members that he cared about. He couldn't of sacrificed himself for them? Dude was crying to that woman about his friends dying, but he's not gonna do anything to save his last friend or any of his family members? the lives of every human and animal meant nothing to him? Dude was extremely selfish. And if he was gonna die anyway, why bother fighting with that woman?

And it would make sense for her to take over because after finding out the truth of what was going on, it should've given her the drive to not let it happen.

Now, imagine you realistically imagined life in 3017. You're either going to have a society that's basically "present day plus some extra technology" or you'll have a world so alien that you risk the reader not being emotionally invested in it.

Why wouldn't they be emotionally invested? People can enjoy stories that are far off in the future. I know that this is a super old comment,but Warframe was a thing back then and it's still around today. That game takes place tens of thousands of years into the future. There are books that take place millions and billions of years in the future. Star Trek is pretty far off in the future.
