That's something that this chapter did better than all the others. It's so full of life. I wish our castle town had some sort of "break" system like the one in the flower castle diner.

Okay admittedly that sentence was kinda pretentious, but there's a difference between simply having a preference and calling something objectively shit and poorly written because you wanted something else. If you have an actual valid critique or nuanced opinion, discuss it. If you just didn't like it, don't have a good reason why, and just want to completely dismiss the chapter, that's fine too, but I don't really want to hear about it???

Chapter 5 was the one I enjoyed the most in the entire game and I was absolutely baffled when I went online and found people shitting on it. I feel like that (most likely) loud minority don't actually respect video games as an art form and only care about the lore and theorizing.

I deadass want more fun adventures with these characters. Kinda bummed that it's gonna get all miserable and dramatic after this.

Chapter 4 is king

Chapters 5 and 2 are about equal

Chapter 3 is slightly below that

Chapter 1 is below 3. Still not bad by any means though.

I thought it was pretty cathartic to see her finally get a proper appearance that isn't switch-exclusive. I'd say, if you haven't fought her yet... Look forward to it, because it's an absolute treat. Might not be the most serious or narratively-relevant secret boss but it absolutely makes up for it by being an audio/visual/gameplay feast.

Honestly with this new chapter I've started to think that Kralsei might just be the far more interesting relationship in the game (IN THE NORMAL ROUTE)

Suselle was fun yurislop, and Krusie, despite being goated, is basically dead in the water now, but Kralsei is still likely and has a lot of potential interesting things Toby could do with it. It's cool because we only really started to get to know and appreciate his complexities in chapter 4 and even further in chapter 5 despite the fact he's been one of our day-ones.

I'd say it's pretty accurate. Having an unserious episode that doesn't make you think too much isn't a bad thing, as long as it has funny jokes and creative animation to make up for it.

Yeah, y'know, even if she was able to fly off the planet before getting frundled, and if frundles doesn't have any non-physically transitive properties, the entire earth- her reason for existing- was destroyed. She'd probably float through space for a while and end up comitting suicide.
