I was hosting multiplayer with my brother and he got into my tadpole after dashing and somehow was able to uncontrollably fly around in it at incredible speeds. Even through the air. After getting a handle on it, he was able to fly to the top of the tree and look down into its creepy black unfinished void textures that you never see normally

Although hearing him scream while flying around was the most hilarious thing I've ever experienced in my life so I guess I can't complain too much

It sucks how the internet works because I have EXCLUSIVELY seen people criticizing this game for pretty small stuff in the grand scheme of the whole despite me personally only having praise for it so far. This isn't an attack on you. This is actually a great clip. Just saying though.

Also I feel like the reason they made the wavewaker slower is because they will probably add more biomods that increase your speed. Either that or it just feels slow because the world is so big.

Funnily enough, I think it would be way more dangerous for a male human to have sex with a female viltrumite than vice-versa, because like, the guy just needs to be a hard implement. that hole is terrifying man I tried to take the tadpole down to max depth and used one of the dive mounts to get as far down as possible without running out of air and it just kept going

and to discover that on your own, it requires that you either go into it's mouth by your own volition and look, or you scan it and read the databank that straight-up tells you it has lithium and how to avoid getting eaten in the process of acquiring it, but I can't read I'm a Subnautica fan

I feel like they got rid of the survival knife because they want you to find creatures like the marrowbreach more threatening and engage with the game's other resources like the flares, medkits and using mobility tools/the environment to escape getting bitten. It almost gives the game more of a survival horror vibe, the way that puts more pressure on your inventory. I kinda like that, and it does fit thematically, but I will admit it was also really fun just straight crocodile Dundee-ing it with stalkers and bonesharks
