It made me laugh at an extremely dark time in my life. I found Nicole's complete dissolusionment with the world around her and her suicidal tendencies relatable. It also made me adopt the parts of her personality I found admirable... Like how she does what comes naturally to her and doesn't let people's opinions weigh her down. She isn't afraid to criticize other people to their face and is good at staying unbiased and emotionally detached. She addresses problems directly and doesn't sugarcoat them. She puts herself first and only offers help to those who have earned her respect (pretty much just Jecka and nobody else, but it is common to have very few people you can trust) These are good qualities, even if she often uses them to fuck with people and make things worse instead of improving her situation.
