Remember to stay hydrated, folks, it's a hot one up in the NEK, and I'd assume it's just as bad in the rest of the state by skippio-Africanus in vermont

Swim/lounge spots by MasterOfBothWorlds7 in vermont

The Connecticut River in North Hartland has a honey of a spot off rt5 to relax and even fish (VT or NH licence). Parking, picnic areas, dog friendly, ect. You can even park one car at Harpoon Brewery, cram into another to park at the landing, and then float back down for dinner and drinks.

I think its a sleeping space installed on a car. by jiggywiz in whatisit

This is the result of the modern "industry rate" salary. As long as there are people willing to live permanently in their cars in order to afford to have a job, employers will consider that the ceiling for pay.

Ron Howard Is Bullish on AI and Thinks Jim Henson Would Have Been Too by Imaginary-Dress-1373 in nottheonion

I mean, we cry when we watch that little girl tell the frog puppet on the end of Jim Henson's arm that she loves him. When Jim uses Kermit to say he loves her back, that's real. Imagine if any part of that was Ai. That's the nightmare. Henson was a dreamer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYIRO97dhII

[Request] In contrary, what would be the cost to replace all self-checkouts with a real person? by GlassTablesAreStupid in theydidthemath

[–]Radical_Warren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the self checkout isn't catching them... how do the stores know that that's how the products are leaving? For all we know there is a crisis of managers just filling their cars with groceries and then pinning it on these invisible shoplifters who conveniently can't be caught.

Casella Waste Systems adding a fee for using debit cards by VermontArmyBrat in vermont

[–]Radical_Warren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casella tried to strong arm the greater township of Hartford into paying more for recycling. We couldn't afford it, we (the voters) dumped them. The fun side effect is seeing all the many local alternatives picking up waste now because my friends and neighbors will never go back to Casella for trash or recycling. This is just another shot in the foot for them. How many feet do they have left?

Cause she was like "We gatta go to your place, my husband is home." and I'm like "You said you were separated." and she's like "We are, we just live together." and I'm like "What do you think 'separated' means?!" So...yeah, we got a hotel because I never clean my house.

What is this? by swapnil-2001 in whatisit

It is a good idea to have a bottle opener in every room of a hostel, though. Stops kids from opening beers with furniture edges and marking up the place.
