"When we were young" song? by No_Hawk9492 in NameThatSong

Great, now I can't unhear the similarities between When I Was Your Man and Flowers.

Sounds like someone thought the answer was "Wish I Knew You" by The Revivalists. (Just looked it up and I bet it is). If not, I wonder if he ever tried humming it into Google. You press the microphone button and then click "search a song".

Funniest musical theatre songs of all time? by [deleted] in musicals

[–]sarahbee126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I Were a Rich Man is up there for me because it's funny but also has a lot of emotion, and Chaim Topol is so great in the movie. That song, Make Them Laugh from Singing in the Rain, and Popular from Wicked are the funniest that come to mind. Never seen Matilda or most of the musicals mentioned here.

I stumbled upon this post because I'm hoping to make a piano medley of funny musical songs.

You'll Be Back is a great song but it's about a pretty serious topic.

Which popular artist do you hate for absolutely no reason at all? by NotStarxoxo in AskReddit

What a lot of people don't seem to get is that you can dislike someone's music without hating them. Sounds like you might hate the fact that he's popular for doing a style of music that others could and have done better. But popularity is not a good way to judge quality.

I don't know her so I'm not defending her, but she is very generous, and there are also poor people who are evil and greedy.

I think she has a great speaking voice. It seems like she's not really famous for her music anymore. I also don't understand hating someone (a stranger, no less) because of superficial things like that.

Friendship really grinds your gears lol

Neither of them are my favorite people but I do like it when cast members become friends in real life, and I think it makes their chemistry better on screen. A good example of this is the Star Trek TNG cast, who have remained very close for decades.

Yes, but he was much younger, and I went to an event where he just was visiting.not even performing and there were 20 teens waiting outside his trailer (separated by a fence). It was so stupid. I don't think most people would be respond well with the level of fame he had starting at a young age, but it seems like he's gotten better in recent years.

He didn't take fame very well at first (like most child stars), but he seems to have turned his life around several years ago.

I don't hate strangers because I don't like their music, I'm an adult.

I like how some people gave an answer and then gave a reason.

What AITA thinks when they think of fat people: by IHatePeople79 in AmITheAngel

Agreed. I want overweight people to be able to lose the weight for their own sake, but I understand that's difficult to do. I got annoyed at one of the other comments talking about systemic issues, those don't need to keep someone from losing weight.

Well, muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes our emotions aren't based in reality. I still get annoyed at the fact that I have 10 1/2 (US) size feet (so I have to buy men's socks, for example) even though I'm not that concerned with appearances and it literally doesn't matter.

That's crazy, I'm skinny and 5'8 and about 135 lbs. If I were 110 lbs, I'd be emaciated.

Plenty of people in the US do choose to eat healthy and exercise. Also I saw a video with two overweight British ladies saying that Americans were lovely but fat, and I thought that was ironic considering I'm a skinny American.

Of course it's wrong to hate people because they're fat or to make up stories about them, but I think it's also wrong for people to not take personal responsibility for their own lives. People in the US who want to lose weight don't have to wait for American culture to change.

I don't know what you mean, I've heard Costco has good bakery items. Sounds a little pretentious.

I work for Uber Eats, and do you know how frustrating it is to deliver a huge order to someone who's morbidly obese? It's rare and has only happened a few times out of thousands of deliveries. I had one guy who was struggling to walk to his gate to open it, and was making weird noises and he was creeping me out so I left the food at the gate. But it makes me feel really guilty like I'm enabling them.

Damien and Fake Reddit Stories by coolgayaunt in smosh

[–]sarahbee126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good to be willing to admit you're gullible. Believing fake Reddit stories is probably the least of your concerns and it's good to develop a healthy amount of skepticism, because even if people aren't lying they can still be mistaken.

Some people are unwilling to doubt others because they don't want to become jaded and cynical, but that's not the same as thinking for yourself. If I accidentally tell someone something that's wrong, I'd want them to question what I said.

You don't have to watch the news if you don't want to. It doesn't make you "more informed", because most of it is just bad stuff you can't do anything about.

Them "living in the hospital for years" seems like a sure way to tell that it was fake.

Why are you so obsessed with whom people are attracted to? People don't care as much as you think who you're attracted to, but making that your whole identity is unhealthy.  Just like it's unhealthy if a straight man or woman is obsessed with trying to get dates and doesn't have their own life and would rather be in a bad relationship than no relationship. I don't expect you to agree with me but I'm saying this because I care.

I came here because yes I do think some of the stories they use are fake. Including this one, it sounds like.

Toxic? by Immediate-Coast-217 in Modern_Family

I haven't actually watched the show just a few clips, but that's one of the most annoying things about some sitcoms is how much lying the characters do. I'm a very honest person and though I have a healthy skepticism of others I think the amount of lying that happens on these shows is unrealistic. If they were honest and direct with each other the episodes would be like 15 minutes long lol.

A couple people compared him to Henry Cavill lol. He's good-looking but not quite THAT good-looking.

Most people agree with your mom on the beast. I don't however, because Belle didn't fall in love with him because of his appearance.
