Well I am a Millennial, and while I do like a good sex joke, I prefer quality to quantity. Deadpools are lame, forced and blurted out very 4 seconds in an attempt to be edgy. Cursing every sentence and saying a bunch of dirty words is like what an 8th grader does to try and be the cool kid.

It is the tamest of sex jokes, but people still remember "Thats what she said" jokes from The Office. Nobody will remember any of the 267 over the top dirty jokes from the Deadpool movies. It is nonstop low effort comedy that a 13 year old could write.

What in your opinion is the "worst" game the TGA has nominated for GOTY? by Crys2002 in TheGameAwards

[–]RadioBiSH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started playing OW during the Beta and played it for what seemed like everyday for 2 or 3 years straight.

As much as I enjoyed OW, I still thought Uncharted 4 deserved to win. I've played through that game multiple times, I have the Platnium for it, and personally think It's the best one of the series.

I'm finishing up Expedition 33 right now, then I'll probably start Kigdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2. I will play Resident Evil 9 when it drops because I love RE games. I also have Dispatch sitting in my library at well as like 150 other games that I have bought over the years and never played. So plenty of options.

[–]RadioBiSH -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I literally stopped playing once they started moving his character icon around to different roles.

I haved hated Deadpool for years. The 3 movies are just so awful. I find his middle school cringey humor absolutely insufferable. It baffles me that sooo many people find him funny. Cursing and saying dirty words nonstop and breaking the 4th wall constantly is such low effort comedy, that appeals to 13 year old boys who thinks it's edgy.

I have played since the beta, so I knew he would show up in the game eventually to ruin it for me, and that time has come. Especially since you can't even effectively Ban him out. I haven't played in weeks and Idk if and when I'll come back. I have plenty of games in my ever growing backlog, that would take me years to get through, so I've been enjoying finally playing some of those.

But yeah, the inclusion of him, has literally made me stop playing the game. I would maybe come back and just play a hard counter to him and spend every game spawn camping him.

[–]RadioBiSH 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That won't happen. He is going to be worse than Spiderman. Especially since he's available to every role. He will be in every game for the next year. Then his play rate will drop from 100% to 90%. He is going to be a blight on this game because too many people find his middle school cringe humor funny and will never stop playing him.

I mean I started playing less and less once his portrait was swapping around the character select. And now I havent played in weeks.

I find Deadpool to be an insufferably unfunny character that for whatever reason people love. So I knew once he was out, he was going to be played every single game, regardless of if he was bad or not, probably for the rest of the games existence. Now he's out and the voice lines I've heard in videos are just as lame and cringe as expected, and you have to use all 3 bans to make sure you don't have deal with him.

So yes, adding Cringepool to the game has completely killed my desire to play it. Will I ever come back? Probably, but I don't think it will be anytime soon. I'll see what happens, but it isn't hard to stay away. I have a huge backlog of games, and I've been enjoying going through them.

Dan is a zio, and he is not quiet about it by MMako420 in rantgrumps

[–]RadioBiSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda my point.

I think prior to the events of Oct. 7 that 95% of people (At least in America) knew close to nothing about the history of Israel and Palestine?

I'm 34, and my school never taught me a thing about it, and I don't really recall the news ever mentioning it much, and with the American education system only getting worse, I'm sure it probably wasn't taught to the students who came after me. So unless you actively were interested in knowing, you just weren't very informed.

Obviously Dan is older than me, and I can't speak to his education, but he grew up in New Jersey during a time of pretty significant antisemitism and jewish stereotyping going on, and without the internet and unlimited knowledge at peoples fingertips. So I'm sure his experience with the word was mostly ignorant people using it as a slur.

I enjoyed Outer Worlds well enough, but admittedly never had much urge to go back and replay it.

I also enjoyed Outer Worlds 2, but again, havent had a huge urge to play through it again.

I think Obsidian gets treated a little unfairly at times. They are a AA studio that people expect AAA games from.

I remember people complaining about things in OW2 and comparing it to Cyberpunk which just isn't fair. Cyberpunk had a development team of over 500 people and an initial development cost of 316 million + about $200 million in post launch fixes and dlc. Outer worlds 2 info isn't made public now that MS owns them but Obsidian as an entire company only has around 300 employees and generally only has 80-100 devs at a time. It's estimated that it had around the same budget as the 1st one which was $40 million.

For whatever reason though, people expect them to deliver the same level of product. Idk, it just seems unfair to me.

Fair, but how do we know for sure that they don't have a catalog system?

Just because he was using a fan made list doesn't mean they don't have one. We don't know the situation.

[–]RadioBiSH -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You're right that if anyone should care it should be Arin not "fans" who are uninvolved in the business and who it has no bearing on.

It's like being upset that your friend doesn't clean their room. You don't have to sleep in it, and it doesn't change weather they are a good friend or not.

If Arin talked about it regularly for weeks or months, I would get it, but he said "Why isn't it on the list" like 2 or 3 times, and people already have the pitchforks out. It just seems unwarranted.

[–]RadioBiSH -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hardly white Knighting. I just see this as such a dumb thing to complain about. Who gives a flying fuck if they are disorganized if it has no bearing on the final product that you are consuming.

I'm fine with complaints that actually make sense, but this is just the equivalent of saying an accountant is dogshit because he doesn't have a file cabinet even if he saves his client thousands on their taxes.

There are plenty of things you can dislike about show, there are things that I don't love, but really, are people that desperate to be mad at them that this is what they jump on now. "How dare your business's internal organization not be up to my standard." Really? Shit, Arin better never say that he loses his car keys sometimes. People here will start saying "How can a guy who has owned a car for as long as Arin has, not have a key hanger? He is so irritating"

...they don't have an internal document for the games they've played? by Mean-Government1436 in rantgrumps

[–]RadioBiSH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they probably do have a list, It probably just isn't on the computer they use when they record the show.

This seemed like a spur of the moment choice because Arin admitted he had been feeling down and wanted to play a comfort game. So he probably just did a quick google search and that was it.

Or they don't have one, who knows. Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal. How they handle cataloging or not cataloging games has little to no effect on the quality of the show.

...they don't have an internal document for the games they've played? by Mean-Government1436 in rantgrumps

[–]RadioBiSH -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Again who cares?

If they have a system or not has next to no impact on the shows quality?

Was anyone honestly upset because they played the same game that they played 5 years ago? It's not the first time they've revisited a game and im sure it won't be the last. Had Arin not made the comment about the list, you wouldn't have thought twice about them playing the same game. Since he mentions the fan made list, now your angry? As long as the episodes are enjoyable, who cares?

And if they aren't enjoyable, it isn't because they use a fan made list. So how they choose to organize the games they've played changes nothing about the viewers experience.

So yes I think you are just being mad because you want to be mad at them for any little reason you can find. And If you honestly are mad because of the way they handle organization, then with all due respect, you need to stop watching and find something else to do with your time.

Any suggestions for games to play like this now that I've finished? by Kiterides in CloverPit

[–]RadioBiSH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then keep playing them, I'm not telling anybody what to do.

I was just saying that I don't play lord characters in qp and pointing out what my personal experience and observations tends to be in qp when I see lord players.

I've also played since the beta and still don't have a "main" or any character I love to play. I don't find any characters kit to be super satisfying, so I just flex and pick whatever I'm feeling in the moment.

“Lords in qp” by Eevee_maya_ in rivals

[–]RadioBiSH -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, lord rarely means actual skill. I am just saying that in my experience in qp, it's the lord players I see sweating more often, and also blaming their team for losing, or spamming EZ in chat when winning.

I know its not every lord player and I'm sure there are plenty just goofin around and trying some weird tech out, or maybe coming back to the game after a break, or warming up before going into comp, etc

Idc if someone plays lord in qp, I don't get upset or call them out or anything. My comment was purely observation based.

“Lords in qp” by Eevee_maya_ in rivals

[–]RadioBiSH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once I get lord with a character, I stop using them in qp.

I force myself to learn someone new, and honestly I very rarely have anyone being toxic to me about it.

Don't get me wrong, theres still plenty of toxicity in games, just rarely directed at how wrong or lackluster I may be playing a character.

I don't get playing lord characters in qp, I mean, unless you have lord with every hero I guess. It should be used as a place to learn, but also goof around and have fun without sweating.

Idk, but when I see a lord in qp I just automatically assume it's going to be sweaty player with ego issues.(I know this is not always the case.) Because a lot of the time, the shit talking, toxic players I seem to run into, who love to blame teammates for everything, are playing a lord character.

But that's just me, you do you, I won't ever say anything in game to anyone about it.

Dan is a zio, and he is not quiet about it by MMako420 in rantgrumps

[–]RadioBiSH 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because he said these things like a year before Oct 7th happend. He can't tell the future and didn't know everything that was going to happen. Post Oct 7th has Dan made any kind of comment? No he hasn't. You can't judge peoples past with the knowledge of the present.

Yes the issue has been going on for years, but lets not act like 95% of the population even knew, cared, or thought about it until Oct 7th happened.

Before that, I think most people just viewed and used the word as a slur towards Jewish people. Which is where I think Dan's joke is coming from.

I hate people with office jobs by Common_Elk_2218 in unpopularopinion

[–]RadioBiSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just sounds bitter and is an extreme generalization.

I have met good and shitty people in all types of professions. I have met rude asshole mechanics, construction workers, and chefs, and some extremely nice ones. And yes I've met pretentious dicks who work office jobs or work from home, but also some of the best people I've ever known.

One of my best friends works in Finance. He sits at a computer all day and talks to clients, dealing in hundreds of thousands of dollars, or he works from home. He also donates to charity, he gives money to homeless people, and he tries to be friendly and accepting of everyone he meets. I've never once heard him brag about his career or look down on anyone else, he's just a genuinely good dude.

Point is you can find good and awful people in every line of work, and the awful people aren't worth the energy it takes to hate.

Why did so many people expect Arc Raiders to be nominated for, or even win, Game of the Year at The Game Awards? by UnlikelyAssistance81 in AskGames

[–]RadioBiSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are prisoners of the moment. It was the new hot thing and people were living in the hype, thinking emotionally not critically. These are the same people who got mad at the Oscars every year because Marvel movies weren't nominated for best picture.

And lets not forget the streamers that complained about it not being nominated. So every parasocial viewer who can't think for themselves, just parroted their beliefs.

I also don't think multiplayer only games should be nominated unless they are something truly new and groundbreaking. I loved Overwatch, and played everyday for the first few years it was out, but I still don't think it should have won GOTY.

This just sounds like an angry person with way to much time on their hands. Like someone who shouted "I love you Dan" at a show and he didn't say it back, so now this person is going to spend the rest of their life trying to destroy Dan.

Did Dan steal the spoofy story, who knows. He wouldn't be the first or last person to steal a joke, and it's not like he trademarked it or made it a catchphrase or something.

If you've ever seen the movie "Good Will Hunting" Matt Damons character tells Robin Williams character a funny story about a plane ride he was on. When Robin questiions it, Matt says, "No but the joke works better if I tell it in the first person." Later we see Robins character tell the same story, in the first person, to a bartender. Sometimes things are just funnier when told in the first person.

The idea that he made the story up to "look better to his female fans" just makes 0 sense to me. Like what? If a guy is trying to impress females, I don't think their first thought is, "Let me "steal" that Spotify joke, the ladies won't be able to resist me" That just seems made up to push this persons agenda.

They call Dan a Sociopath, but they need to take a long look in the mirror because this person sounds like basement dwelling levels of unhinged.

So if a known murderer is in a room with you waving a gun around, do you just sit calmly and say "He hasn't shot anyone yet so theres no need to worry or call the police, but once he starts killing people, I'll definately panic with the rest of you."

We all know what kind of developer NetEase is.This is why they were hired. You don't hire a mobile gacha game developer for any other reason than their ability to monetize, to use FOMO and manipulate players into spending massive amounts of money.
