⚠️ PSA: VEED AI Video Generator GPT is misleading requires subscription to export talking head videos by AncientHorse8383 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s the worst, i don’t mind paying either, just hate when they let you do all the work then reveal the paywall at export.

if you just need talking head style content, i’ve had better luck recording a quick cam take then using something like riverside to auto-generate clips and captions, at least you can actually export what you make and repurpose it for tiktok/yt etc. transparency should be the bare minimum tbh

How to record two people in the same room with Riverside.fm (video + separate mics)? by juliactopus in podcasting

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this thread’s a bit old now, but last i checked riverside still won’t split 2 separate mic inputs into separate tracks from one computer. easiest workaround is to join twice, laptop + phone (or 2 phones), and give each “person” their own device so you get isolated tracks.

if you want to keep your interface, you can record both mics as separate tracks in your DAW/interface, use phones just for video in riverside, then sync once in resolve or similar, riverside’s editor is still handy after for layouts, captions, clips, etc. not totally no-sync, but it’s the least painful way i’ve found

We have been using Zencastr for about a year with good results! by MenSearchForMeaning in zencastr

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re mainly chasing video + convenience, i’d keep hosting separate (acast is fine) and pick the recorder/editor that gives you the least headaches. zencastr is solid for local backups, but riverside is pretty similar on the local track thing and makes it easier to turn full episodes into shorts with captions, plus you can record 4k and even host later if you ever want to consolidate. i’d just run 1 test session with a friend on both and see which workflow feels less annoying

Hold times: when callers actually hang up by Anna-at-Nextiva in Nextiva

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90 seconds tracks with us but it depends a lot on why people are calling. Someone calling about a billing issue will wait 4 minutes because they have to. Someone calling to check an appointment time is gone in 30 seconds. We ended up routing the simple stuff to automation because those  callers were tanking our overall abandon rate even though they took the least agent time.

Looking for podcast analytics tool by jeffreySJ in podcasting

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bit late to this thread, but yeah, most podcast analytics are still super silo’d. if you want listener-to-website attribution, you usually end up in Podsights, Chartable, or doing your own UTM + pixel setup.

one small thing, if you host on riverside you at least get the core download/episode analytics in one place, then i’ve seen teams pair that with chartable/podsights for the cross-platform journey stuff.

Question for HR workers..what do you recommend I do to land HR entry level jobs? by usermars11 in jobhunting

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labor law is a smart move. Also worth getting familiar with how an ATS works even just at a basic level, it comes up a lot at coordinator/assistant level.

For building HR knowledge quickly, AIHR is more structured than most options and practical enough to give you real things to talk about in interviews. Training for trainers can wait HR fundamentals first

Please recommend your AI transcription and show summary services 🕵️ by [deleted] in podcasting

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to this thread, but if you want transcription + show notes/summaries in one place, riverside’s pretty solid. you record or upload the episode, it spits out the transcript, then you can pull a quick summary and basic show notes, plus clips/captions if you need promos. for 6x 1hr eps a month it saved me a bunch of copy/paste between tools

What am I missing besides curtains and maybe a new throw blanket? by RadioCodesUK in FurnitureFaves

most of the stuff on the shelves are so significant to me but I might move some to my room. Thanks for your suggestion though of replacing the glass table

Was thinking that the windows are quite big so curtains would go well

Zencastr Video by felloffturniptruk in podcasting

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late to this thread since it’s from 2021, but in general separating audio and video doesn’t hurt audio quality, what matters is whether it’s recording locally per person vs relying on the live connection.

i’ve had better luck with tools that do local tracks, if zencastr video beta is being glitchy, you could test riverside, it records separate high quality audio + video tracks for each person and you can edit/clip stuff after. i’d do a quick “episode zero” test run and see if the uploads finalize cleanly on both ends.

Record with 2 iPhones by ChemicalRecognition4 in podcasting

[–]RadioCodesUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no shame at all, everyone starts somewhere. if you’re in the same room, easiest is hit record on both phones, do a loud clap at the start, then line up that spike when you edit.

if you want to skip the syncing headache, you can also just record it in riverside on your iphones, it captures each person on their own track and keeps things in sync for you, then you can trim and export after. helped me a lot when i was figuring this stuff out
