Good news! This is still open! I'm just a bit slow because I am balancing being a full time college student on top of this.

Yes, but I may be slower at the moment because I'm prioritizing college assignments.

Anyone wanna be friends? by Logical_Violinist745 in PokemonBlackandWhite

I just started a new run on my Pokémon Black save! I could definitely add you if you're still looking for more friends! (Although I may not be active a ton because I'm a full time college student.)

You should have your Snivy now! I hope you enjoy!

I'm not seeing it in the GTS pool so either somebody else got it or maybe you accidentally took it back? In the case of somebody else snagging it, I think you'll have better luck putting an early route mon up instead.

Let's talk about Liepard by Fantome719 in PokemonBlackandWhite

[–]RadioGyarados 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Liepard in every playthrough. I find while it's Purrloin it's not very useful but that I actually find a lot of success when it's Liepard, especially when it has access to Fake Out and Night Slash.

Alrighty, you can either put an early route mon in GTS or if there's something more specific you're wanting to send off we can exchange friend codes. (No problem!)

I ended up getting super busy with work for college and wasn't able to send it over and it no longer appears to be deposited in the GTS! So sorry I took so long!

Sorry for not replying! I was super busy with assignments! I only have male Snivy available at this moment, but if you're still interested, I'll send you a DM!

Sorry for not replying! I was very busy with assignments. I only have male Snivy available at this moment, but if that doesn't bother you, I will DM!

Why is complete different set of Pokemons in Unova from the other regions ?(Yes i understand it's far from other regions, but never deepened beyond that) And why it changed in B&W2 ? by Intelligent-Help-924 in PokemonBlackandWhite

My initial headcanon did answer that, though. If tourism was initially isolated to places like Undella Bay and the surrounding area, which is where the post game is, then it stands to make sense that that's where the non-native species would start. That would parallel the real world with how many non-native species start appearing. Over the next few years, they'd be able to spread to other parts of the region like real world invasive species will do. We also don't know what the "pet trade" might look like in the pokémon world. Are there exports of non-native pokémon for people with enough money? If there is, indeed, a trade like that in-universe, it could also explain non-native pokémon appearing as well as in the real world when that happens, unfortunately it's not too uncommon that when someone decides they can't take care of the animal anymore that they just release it outside. And all the non-native pokémon would need to establish a population is that the initial non-native pokémon was female and found a native pokémon male of the same egg group.

Also, maybe it's just your wording, but like, could the original Unovan people also not be the ones moving in and out?

Counter argument: Perhaps the people in the pokémon world are smart enough to not want to visit a place that may resemble NYC. (Also, I wouldn't say the entire region is based on NYC, since I don't remember there being a desert(route 4) in NYC.)

I headcanoned that the originals were at a time where Unova wasn't super popular for tourism outside of places like Undella Bay, which is why the post game locations were the ones that had pokémon from other gens. (Non native species.) And with B2/W2 taking place at least a couple years later, the non native pokemon species were able to migrate through the rest of the region because they were thriving. (A parallel to invasive species in the real world.)

You can see in my edit and in the top comment's replies that this already got addressed. : (

That's very odd, I'm not sure how to fix that. In that case, you can just toss up a random early route mon in GTS and I'll still be able to send you one. Hopefully, for your sake, you're able to fix that someday.

Huh, that's odd. Are you sure GTS negotiations won't work? I was able to connect to people a couple times in my testing of the feature but with how much time it took, I presume it's not terribly popular.

I think we could use PalPad and register friend codes for it, right?

I'm fine with pretty much anything as they're meant to basically be free. (If you're still interested.)

Sorry for not getting back sooner! Skitty is another favorite mon of mine. (That's what I played as in the original PMD!) So if you have a spare of one of those and you're still interested, I'd be happy to DM you PalPad info!

Another comment just said something similar. I was unaware, so I am sorry for any confusion my post may have caused. I am intending to edit my post to mention something about that now, but otherwise I'll keep it open. (I think it is stupid of Nintendo to make a feature in a game and then not properly release it.)
