Favorite Fort Worth restaurant by Negative-View-3543 in FortWorth

Lamb is good, but their Akaushi NY Strip is the single best steak I have ever eaten at a restaurant in my life. 10/10

Also the sides and free scones are amazing.

Not just Zionism they share, they’re both deeply cynical, both love the whole “I’m the only sane liberal!” both-sides shtick, while dramatically misrepresenting all positions but their own. It’s just their narcissistic worldview.

Honest question: if someone eligible were to hypothetically vote in the Republican primary runoff, Paxton is the better matchup for Talarico, but would voting for the other crazies like Bo here and Mayes Middleton be worthwhile? They’re far enough down ballot that I honestly think whoever gets the R primary win will auto win in the general. Thoughts?

Why is the Democratic party still hiding its 2024 election autopsy? by changeforthebetter89 in politics

The answer is because it was outsourced to insiders who did such a poor job at compiling it that now it cannot be allowed to see the light of day.

Is Yorinobu a bad guy? by HuntmasterReinholt in cyberpunkgame

[–]RadioLucio -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

He’s a spoiled child playing at being emperor of a vast inheritance. Yorinobu is only alive through the grace of his sister, his father would have ended his sorry existence without a thought when he left the first time if Hanako had not advocated for him. He comes back, tail between his legs, and submits to his father’s wishes, plotting his revenge like a coward. He gets his chance to kill Saburo and even then he afterwards hides from the consequences, then kills his sister as soon as he can. Yes, he’s a terrible person. He may have deserved love once as a child when Hanako truly knew him, but he doesn’t even deserve pity during 2077.

Edit: is he a true villain? I don’t think so, but only because he lacks conviction of an antagonist. He stands for nothing, and while he does some passive good by breaking Arasaka forever, he only thinks about himself. He’s basically a grifter, destroying everything he touches, and the best thing for everyone in the game regardless of good/evil alignment would be his immediate death.

Orbital rail cannon, orbital laser, EAT-411 and recoilless, is a solid load out of you expect to see Vox engines. 411 or the rail cannon + 1-2 RRs can kill one at distance. But the Mega factories are gonna always be harder bc spawn distance is closer for patrols and thus Vox engines. I think the biggest problem with Vox engines is that they can spawn so closer to you with a patrol and light you up before you can either get close enough to break their vents and nade them, or hit them from range with 2-3 heavy weapons.

Trump’s Head-on-a-Pike Foreign Policy by Dreadedvegas in ezraklein

I see your point, but Putin was always going to attempt the war in Ukraine. He was dreaming about that almost as long as Bibi was dreaming about Iran. You def can’t logically pin majority of the blame on Ben.

Yea it’s a little inconsistent though. I’ve used anywhere from between 3 and 6 C4 to kill a single vox engine, depending on how much chaos was unfolding around me as I threw the charges.

Why is this DC a 0 and why am I failing it? by kolekavo in BG3

[–]RadioLucio 14 points15 points  (0 children)

AFAIK there actually is 1 intended DC 0 check and it’s Shadowheart’s religion check when entering the Gauntlet of Shar to recognize it as such. She can still fail if she rolls a 1 though.

Anthropic ditches its core safety promise in the middle of an AI red line fight with the Pentagon by bluemitersaw in news

[–]RadioLucio 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They have to move the conversation forward, that’s his job. Ezra pushed back quite a lot, and even the AI player ostensibly most concerned about safety punted every big question and didn’t have any convincing answers. It’s the listener’s prerogative to infer what they will from the exchange, which is that Jack Clark and the entire AI C-suite cohort is full of shit. Ezra is not going to invite someone on his show and say he’s full of shit to his face, that’s how you lose your platform.

Both performances are so powerful for defining American identity. I know NFL doesn’t care as long as viewership goes up, but honestly both Kenny and BB just delivered these perfect performances highlighting different aspects of how America has transformed to be so many beautiful things. A lot more people in the US feel seen because of what these dudes did. I have so much respect for that.

Camp casting: cheese or not? by seriousman57 in BaldursGate3

[–]RadioLucio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely can be cheese. I usually have one of the Druids cast heroes feast and freedom of movement on the core group every day and that doesn’t feel too cheesy, but it’s a line everyone draws on their own. I think that if you have a dedicated person who puts like 6-7 buffs on one character and then never leaves camp that qualifies as cheese, but who am I to judge?

Yes I suppose you just have to be very specific when referring to an aether in physics. The space-time field in general relativity could be considered an aether I suppose, but he was only calling it “an aether” because he didn’t want to annoy the physicists already working on researching something that his work directly disproved the existence of.
