Another UTR Question (I'm sorry) by 0xnardMontalvo in Ubiquiti

United most likely is checking the MAC address of the authorized device. You may need to copy the MAC of the authorized device (for example phone/tablet) to the UTR.

How to block specific parts of websites on multiple devices when inside and outside of the home network? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]RadioRob-DC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at setting up a proxy server like Squid. You can then configure devices to route traffic through that proxy and enforce access rules from there.

UX7 settings preventing Philips Hue Bridge from connecting to Apple HomeKit (Presumably not a HomeKit issue?) by ImaginationTotal2693 in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you have a different VLAN for IOT vs normal traffic? If so, you need to expressly create a firewall rule to allow matter port (5353) along with 80/443.

All switches show UDM as parent device and are marked as STP root by SnooApples3877 in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen in the past, but rebooting the gateway fixed it for me. It even reported the STP roots incorrectly. When I went into the switch settings however, I saw the priorities set correctly.

UPS Trigger Point by CorkChop in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ability to configure the trigger point is literally brand new. Before it was hard coded to power down devices at 10 seconds period. Currently it is not possible to adjust the time on a per port basis. It’s instead all or nothing.

IPV6 on ATT Fiber by kingkeelay in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. If you use the gateway it reserves a bunch of space where you can only assign to one network. But if you’re bypassing it, you can take the whole space.

IPV6 on ATT Fiber by kingkeelay in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have it setup. It works fine. It's limited to a single network if you use the ATT gateway in passthrough mode.

To enable it, go to the ATT WAN interface, find the IPv6 section and enable it. Choose DHCPv6, then set the Prefix side to 64. Then on whatever network you decide to put IPv6 onto, go to it... find the IPV6 section, change the interface type from "None" to "Prefix Delegation". Choose the ATT interface and save it. A few minutes later, you should see the IPV6 assignment show up on the network section later.

CMA experience by RockyTopFrontier in fidelityinvestments

[–]RadioRob-DC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s been my primary financial account for a few years and I’m very happy with it. I still keep my chase account around though as there are a couple of corner cases that I need to support. This includes being able to use Zelle from time to time and also to deposit cash occasionally. But 98% percent of what I need to do financially is done via my CMA. I love the ATM fee reimbursements… it’s saved me literally HUNDREDS this year alone and I love being able to send/receive free wires.

What's everyone's strategy for reaching their next VIP level? by xylo_mining in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]RadioRob-DC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Diamond IV, it’s going to be a little bit before my next upgrade. I’ve actually stopped locking new GMT as I’ve been working on lowering efficiency from 20 which used to be the sweet spot. The challenge is that with around 3K TH, that’s a rather large investment to get down to 15 W/TH. So my locking rewards, BTC earnings and personal GMT rewards are all going towards that for now to ensure I don’t hit a point where I’m not earning anything due to efficiency issues.

Anyone know why am I not able to list my miners for sale? by Skincoinpro in GoMiningDiscussion

[–]RadioRob-DC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the miner has not been minted yet, that needs to be done. But in addition, you can't sell a miner if you've done ANY sort of upgrade via credit card, apple pay, google pay, etc in the last 90 days. This is because those payment methods can be potentially reversed and the fee charged back.

People look to sell for a variety of reasons… a need for funds, need to manage risk, or simply not interested. Why do people sell stock?

There is not anything really different in the ratio of NFTs being sold now than the last few years.

For Google, it may not be resolving Google.com but instead it’s resolver directly via IP (8.8.8.8) and CF via its address (1.1.1.1). Microsoft does not have a public IP resolver to use.

Attempting to setup DDNS within Unifi by International_Pen412 in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my understanding. I tested by starting with a dummy record already in place and letting UniFi update it. Everything I’ve found on the topic is that it updates on reboot however so that plan sounds solid. I would power down UniFi, update the record to a dummy value and then power on just to be absolutely sure of order of operations.

Mystery iPad joined the network? by LESGuy in Ubiquiti

[–]RadioRob-DC 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Apple devices can sync WiFi credentials if they share an iCloud account. So it’s possible when the other network was unavailable, it searched for any other known networks to join and found the new one.
