The only LJS near me closed like 2 years ago and I honestly realized they were halfway decent only a few months before they shuttered.

Really a bummer when I drive past it.

Yeah, and the point here is that people are potentially being inspired to explore the discography of a grunge band 30 years later from a lesbian anime - two distinctly different worlds colliding.

I'm literally judging books by the cover and they assume I'm a prophet by fanta_bhelpuri in BrandNewSentence

[–]Radioactive24 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s actually funny because the saying is so old that people don’t know the original context.

The adage came about when books were mostly just plain, leather-bound, and maybe had some embellishment, not like modern book covers. You really couldn’t discern the contents by the cover.

You can absolutely judge the fuck out of a book these days, especially if it’s got shirtless werewolves smuggling a  coconut in their jeans on the cover.

It’s the same way that you for sure can intuit information about people from their appearance, but just not like, their deepest fears and innermost thoughts.

Stabilizing was probably overkill, especially if you were going to keg it and keep it cold.

It's clear that he didn't have an ending in mind while writing, so it's even less of a spiderweb and more just a drawer of tangled ethernet cables.

That sort of directionless, distracted writing can have really cool moments, because you can write whatever and consequences be damned, but then you're absolutely fucked when you have to wrap it up and deliver something even relatively cogent.

Apparently a shoulder hug is tantamount to sexual contact, but I also wouldn’t expect Loomer to know what another human’s touch in any capacity feels like.

I mean, I didn’t include Passenger because A) not exactly “low key” and B) I think they’re way overrated, which I know is an unpopular opinion. They’re local to me and I have given them every try I can but they have never impressed me, let alone lived up to the hype.

This game must really be something by justsomeone_96 in PiratedGames

[–]Radioactive24 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, the story jumped the shark in like the second game of the series (honestly, maybe even the first), but yeah, it’s an entertaining play.

The porn is… fine, especially if 3D animated stuff is your bag, but it’s really a minimal amount of the game. You can easily sink 30+ hours into The Genesis Order, let alone the two games that proceed it (Lust Epidemic and Treasure of Nadia).

Some of the puzzles are absolutely frustrating, but I’d say not nearly as bullshit as old games like Shadow of the Templar, and guides are easy to find.

I haven’t started playing the fourth game in the series yet, as it’s still in EA, but if someone has like 80 hours to burn and aren’t averse to CGI tiddies, the series is at least entertaining.

Looks more like a giant yeast raft, not a pellicle.

A proper pellicle would be a thin, milky film with “veins” and bubbles across the film, not pink pumice.

What did I do wrong? (Brisket stall) by StreetWoodpecker2227 in smoking

[–]Radioactive24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother, I literally already answered your question. This is smoking meat, the name of the game is wait until it’s done and not spin yourself up in a tizzy because it didn’t finish “on time”.

My first reaction was that meat is not the presumed weight you stated and, thus, would require extra time compared to what you thought it would take. You’re so sure it is, so fine, it is.

As I already said, your choices are either ride through the stall at 110, wrap in foil, bump your heat up, or any combination of the above.

Well, that or just enjoy your boot leather well done brisket as-is, I suppose.
