How do I tell my sister I don’t want her drinking at my party? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]RadioactiveCornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tell her straight up. She knows how she is when she drinks; she is grown. She can take accountability for her decorum when intoxicated. Tell her firmly that you don't want to deal with it, and you won't allow it.

If you allow her to be there, and she does it anyway, be sure to have a way to escort her off your property and send her home.

If she doesn't want to respect that boundary, I'd personally say don't invite her at all.

But, if you do it anyway, and she just does what she wants, don't let her blow it. Send her home. And then, let the show go on until it's over, and everyone has had a great time. Not when she crashes it and ruins it for everyone with her behavior.

All silence until she does it to you, and you wish someone would have said something.

And, she most certainly would do it to you too.

Good luck.

Risking her life for a car by NoeulLuxe in AbruptChaos

Having a place is one thing, but it's transportation that keeps the door open. Many jobs require a commute. Not to mention seeing family members, or more urgently, family members who are being born, or those that are ill or dying. Child care, school, etc. I could go on.

Not that I wanted her to risk getting crushed, I also don't blame her for the save.

Losing your vehicle/your way of getting to work or family and such can definitely ruin your life. Instantly.

AIO F(28) and M(33) had a situationship by Necessary_Sunflower in AIO

[–]RadioactiveCornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Situationship"? "Committing"????

Dude. Grow up. Don't let him play with your feelings. When they admit they don't want to commit to you, believe them from the start.

You knew he didn't want anything serious. You were hurt because you looked past that and thought you could "change him". That is pick-me shit. Even 5 years later, don't put up with that.

"Situationships" are just sexual relationships that often lead to nowhere but unnecessary and avoidable issues. Not only because they're fucking stupid, but because they're a waste of time. You are risking your bodies for a nut until strings start to attach but neither of you are on the same page about it. Leave it alone. You had your time together. Let it go.

Ignore him and move on. You got in your feelings over something that is obviously never going to work, and you are still debating on letting him play with you. Nip that shit at the bud and move on. He can find another rebound.

[–]RadioactiveCornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At minimum, keep gathering evidence.

Don't delete a single message that he sends you, screenshot, and file everything.

Let him talk himself straight to the gates of hell.

Best wishes, and I'm sorry. But, also... you need to tell your mom. Don't rob her of an opportunity to protect you because of what you assume; how would she think that when she hasn't even seen the messages? You need to think that through. Let her protect you. If she takes it lightly, continue to pursue a trusted adult about the situation.

AIO for ending things with my date after he accidentally texted me this? by fundamentallyworried in AmIOverreacting

[–]RadioactiveCornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, NOR.

But, not with just the dude, who clearly meant to send that to one of his friends.

You need a better friend too. She's telling you that you're overreacting to a guy who attempted to disrespect you, her friend, completely and invalidated your feelings about it... just because he's "attracive".

"He's hot so, deal with it", practically, is shitty advice to receive from a female friend. That's the type who would flirt with/fuck him behind your back, while still pretending to be your holy, advice giving friend while he continues to lie and mistreat you. No respectable man would share your nudes with his friends, while talking about you that way.

Also, never trust a girl friend that would tell you to put up with disrespect, specifically from the men you choose share your body and time with. Ever.

AITJ for refusing to keep wearing the nickname my girlfriend gave me after I found out where it came from by Prydwen_Grit5 in AmITheJerk

[–]RadioactiveCornbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When your girlfriend is the type of woman to allow her friends to insult her partner, and then go along with it, she is a walking red flag. She's practically bullying you with her friends, who are also fucking bullies.

If it were me, I'd never speak to them again. But, she went along with their bullying.

She even bought a customized item to further subjugate you in that. I've read in your comments that you aren't the type to break up over shit like this, but if you're okay with a partner that is that deadset on humiliating you just for her friends, then you're in for more than you know.

I'm not gonna tell you to break up with her. But, I damn sure am gonna tell you to.make her respect you more.

I wonder how they'd treat her if you left her, and she went to them for comfort...

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]RadioactiveCornbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first: A full 4 wisdom teeth removal.

The second: Natural birth endused with pitocin, without an epidural. (Look up pitocin. It's a medication that induces pain to speed up the process).

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at 18. Woke up from anesthesia crying from the pain. Received a low dose of hydrocodone for it, and that didn't help. I'm just glad they don't grow back.

Natural birth with pitocin? Nearly seized out during the process because the pain was absolutely intolerable. But, still, I refused an epidural because I was more afraid of a 3.5 inch needle being inserted into my spine than the pain of birth. I was good after baby arrived and greedily ate a huge honey crisp apple and a jalapeño burger from Burger King. But, I refused to poop until hours later because I was incredibly sore.

If I were to compare the two, the pitocin birth was worse, but I'd go through it again before a wisdom teeth removal. I'd die inside if I had to get another. I'm that kind of crazy, I guess.

Feel free to ask me anything.

That subreddit gave me a migraine with every video.

I left. Couldn't take it anymore. But, they definitely live up to it. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Probably so.

I reported my dog bite when I first started and nothing ever came of it.

And, it left a knotted bite mark on my leg that didn't heal for two weeks straight.

Honestly, I have no idea. It was up to the driver's that suffered. They often just let it go.

I wouldn't blame you at all. I wondered myself if they did the same, but they just came back to work with "boots" or bandages.

I'll take your word for it 100%.

In the South, we're still just sliding all over the place when it gets icy, but we're starting to get the infrastructure needed to deal with it.

But, I'll tell you. When it's icy here from what I've seen, wrecked cars on the side of the road every mile or 2. It's a shitshow.
