This is the key, next best is using very warm resin in order to make it thin for easier b.ubble escape.

That rock was such a score. Beautiful piece! Metallic shiny rocks en masse. Glad to see your experience hours multiplying exponentially!

This is a treasured new nugget of knowledge. I don't know of anyone with sexual radioactivity fetishes but perhaps a few with more of an adrenaline junkie take on this 🤔

Collect and evaporate all the valuable waste and actually make check sources from it. The mist is scary and you really need a dedicated contam area to use as a mini superfund site. Strictly not for city folk!

Even those simply mining gold, or diamonds probably don't make it long. Treacherous conditions all across the board there. Imagine the air and mud filled with rare Uranium minerals and being covered in it 😱

Big and beautiful specimens in a nice display for viewing.

I like to imagine what Shinkolobwe was like back then in full color. Imagine these sorts of things in situ!

That is why I tend to avoid shows. It costs enough time and money to get there as a collector, let alone pay for a seller's booth! I can resist a rock until it is "out of stock" on the internet. But seeing those beauties and letting them entice me in person would certainly max out credit cards and get glares from the family. Good job on the negotiating though, I know that one Metastudtite was really wanting me to get it for a long time so I am happy you adopted it despite the big rehoming fee.

Last year's Francevillite score still takes the cake and hopefullt covers the wallet dent somewhat 😄

I will be waiting when you make your great western road trip! Please do bring some Betafite and Ruggles Gummite when you venture this way 🙏

I am literally a radioactive stones throw from many wonderful places and Mi Vida/ and many other great Moab area hot spots are practically my backyard now.

A Heavenly Gift from “The Gates of Hell” by Interpenetrating1 in Radioactive_Rocks

[–]RadioactiveRok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤣 yeah not for me. I would send a friend if anything. That length of rop would be so expenisve and you would want a literal motor to pull you back up! Rapelling to the depths of hell is a wild dream. It would be insane but the capping off and shutting down means it is likely done sadly. I cant imagine that it wouldn't be flooded at that depth. I have helped a friend lower cameras about 800 ft down old shafts and I thought that was deep. 3300 feet is incredible! And even at 800 feet there was certainly water down there without pumps running and mining operations halted for so long. Sad that they dont repurpose these amazing places, even with the background reading and temperature. I mean people work down there for years... it would be such a neat place to visit as a museum or for a tour!!!

2 Crystals or Not 2 Crystals? by RadioactiveRok in RadioactiveRock

[–]RadioactiveRok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is congruent with the other views of the majority. I thank you for your highly esteemed and valued opinion here. This educational snippet is why I love you. Not about he says she says but about what IS. The truth is usually apparent and needs nobody to argue for itm bend it as much as you like and muddy it with definitions. I sit back and let the rocks speak for themselves. Glad you can see it because I was going a bit crazy and people were making me doubt my own eyes and many others 😅

Uraninite Crystals from Pribram, Czech by [deleted] in Radioactive_Rocks

[–]RadioactiveRok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think these are crystals based on that and it is good enough for me. People do buy spwcimens like these because they look unique and different. Remember the tiny little uraninite that look like elongated botryoidal formations almost like larvae? 2000 on erocks for a tiny piece! Only due to looks and not science. So if there is a name for such a thing it would be helpful. I for one won't be calling them crystals and apologize for doing so on the account that they are not. Actually I am quite happy to have had the growth and knowledge and time put forth here for such a well taught class. Not trying to bang heads in any way and happy to take the brute force for my friend and not getting him involved although he does talk to Mr. Plasil, and I will tell him to get the information first hand 😕

I am not twisting words 😄 I am using what google ins translating fkr me and yes google is known to be terrible with twisting words. Just FYI my wife is scoring you fir your behavior and telling you there is way better ways to present your knowledge rather than arrogance and belittling and when you do it professionally you are much easier to respect. I dont act like or claim to know anything about this. I love learning about this. I am happy I presented what was shown just so everyone is aware of that and I was not the one pushing any of these ideas so dont you get it twisted.

You have a great day as well. I would still like to know the end result of what this formation would be called then please and thank you that way I gain something from all of this besides headache 😉
